dialing in your health young --> highest ROI move
peak physical performance has a downstream effect on everything else in your life
business, relationships, faith, academics etc.
how you do one thing is how you do everything
true learning comes from obsession & relentless dedication to craft
if you are not utterly obsessed with the information you are consuming do not waste your time
whatever naturally pulls you in is where you are meant to be
the reason you feel constant anxiety as a high achiever is likely due to one of these:
1. you simply are't doing enough
2. you are working on the wrong thing
your brain subconsciously knows when you are on the wrong path & will punish you for it
things i've done this summer:
- traveled to Quebec with @BasedSupps team
- earned consistent $5k/month
- moved out of my hometown
- started training MMA
- traveled to Switzerland, Spain, France & UK
- took a gap semester of uni
- drank way too much alcohol
when you finally go all in on that crazy dream everything changes
i worked in manhattan doing building maintenance the past 2 summers
this past year i decided i would not return
so i put myself out there, took every opportunity available & worked relentlessly to make something work
going into summer i had nothing lined up
but i had faith that something would work
went to visit some homies in long island
next thing i know im in the back of a pickup truck driving through the forests of northern quebec on some national geographic shit (working with my fav brand btw)
i moved out of my hometown into a house full of dudes a few years older than me
they were all doing better than i was
i knew i had something to learn
i showed up relentlessly day in & day out
ended up making the most money i ever have in my entire life
end of summer comes around
time for a euro trip
traveled to switzerland, spain, france, monaco & the uk
spent all the money i made that summer lol
back home now & decided to take a gap semester from uni to go all in on my dreams
now waking up writing, training, working all day, running or bjj in the evening, go to bed, wake up & do it again
this is what i prayed for
this is what i dreamed of for years
i do not share this to brag
i share this because i used to think it was fairytale shit
but i am here to tell you it is possible
reject the modern path
go all in on that crazy dream
fuck what anyone else thinks
you underestimate how long it will take
you assume it will come quick
you were told it should be easy
which is why you quit every 90 days
your brain is hijaked
do these to take it back:
- read books
- go on long walks
- work for hours (uniterupted)
- lock your phone away
- replace music with audiobooks
- meditate daily
- talk with winners
- follow your curiosity
reclaim your mind
If I can do it so can you
I’m a normal kid from a small town in upstate New York
I worked landscaping for my youth years and building maintenance in NYC the past 2 summers
I was trapped, I knew I wanted more out of my life & took relentless action to make the change
It wasn’t easy by any means
But when I started acting in alignment with what I was uniquely suited to do & truly gave the work all I had, magic happened
Amazing people & countless opportunities have presented themselves to me these past 3 months & i couldn’t be more grateful
Godspeed
doing the work isn't hard
in fact once you actually sit down and begin the work it flows effortlessly
but actually sitting down in front of the computer & eliminating distractions is the hard part
saying no to fun, saying no to leisure, saying no to majority of things that don't truly serve you
there is a time & place for exploration & adventure, it actually feeds you spiritually & energetically
but it's up to you to distinguish when it's time to disconnect & when it's time to lock in
If you are going to try you might as well go ALL THE WAY
Go for the moonshot, you should give this life everything you have
Because why would you not?
You have the ability to do so, and you’re just gonna sit around & be complacent?
Grow a pair & pursue excellence
creating content has quite literally changed my life
opened up more doors for me than a college degree ever would, allowed me to meet amazing people & learn a ton about myself
creating content is the ultimate accountability hack because people are always watching you, forces you to constantly be dialed in & showing up as the best version of yourself
