It’s a bit disconcerting. Would be nice to see a message “your shop on 26th didn’t earn any points” rather than “something has gone wrong”.

@fmk_RoI I think they just ruined it. I was on about getting 1 out of every 3 right with the original game. This just dropped off completely when Spotify took it over. No point in doing something you can never win. I suspect I’m not the only one who had that experience.

@nedboulting Gradually weening myself off the car. It’s more of a burden than a pleasure. Live in a rural location with no direct bus to the nearest train station. But now down to a single car in the family and about 3,000 miles a year. Would be elated with a decent public transport system.

@CatJarman I’d love something comparative - what was happening everywhere at the same time. Could pick a world wide event like a volcanic eruption (536?) or a plague (541?) and how those impacted different regions/civilisations. Or just the interfaces between different cultures.

@ianwalker I don’t wear them. Optician asked me if I did a lot of hill walking as I have UV damage to eyes. Said I should wear them. All I will say is that I am way way way beyond the life expectancy at birth of other animals with similar eyes and habitat
