@lloyd_ellett Thought he made it look easier than last time tbh. More ebb and flow this time but not by quite as much, if that makes sense. Neither in major trouble this time, he just cleanly schooled him and won the rounds. 7-5 probably right
@FunkButcher Makes me feel sick that people of colour and faith should be made to feel so unsafe in their own homes and in their own country.
Every participant in the violence and rioting should be banged up. Absolutely disgusting.
@FunkButcher The physical, discriminate manifestation of the danger represented in the violent language and rhetoric we’ve seen for years. Disgusting. Shocking. We need strong words from our leaders to condemn in the strongest terms.
If you start saying we need to change policy, or reconsider an approach to anything at all on the back of this violence, you are basically legitimising it. You are laundering the reputation of Nazi thugs.
@AntTC1 @aliceanthony_ … & it’s this “testosterone is the key to advantage” that is a problem. A sport governed by men who think testosterone is the golden elixir of success. It’s not a stretch to say it feeds a sexist and misogynistic narrative. Not saying you’re saying this, Ant. Just is what it is.
@AntTC1 @aliceanthony_ Yeah but this presupposes a normal level though. If an athlete with low testosterone is juicing TRT, they’re cheating the same as someone with a starting point of higher testosterone. See what I mean? And we’re talking like it is testosterone alone that is the only advantage 1/2
@AntTC1 @Emilio_HLZ@iamdetboi @QtherQ I’m not trying to be a prick or judgemental. I’m just trying to understand the thinking. Doesn’t make sense to me. Open to hearing why I’m wrong or things I should/ could consider.
@AntTC1 Russian IBA have doubled down. From what I’ve read, it was an arbitrary and ideological conclusion. All the other bodies have allowed her to compete. All this talk of genetic advantage is bs when that’s what sport is.
XY chromosomes and testosterone doesn’t a man, make.
@AntTC1 @aliceanthony_ To me, it just shows a bias when one wants to believe the adjudications of ONE discredited organisation over the multiple others who deemed her fit to compete.
@AntTC1 @aliceanthony_ An arbitrary test conducted by a since disenfranchised adjudicator. Read some of the bits Emilio sent you.
So do we trust the multiple agencies who’ve allowed her to compete, or the one agency which made the ruling that serves this narrative that’s being pushed?
@AntTC1 @aliceanthony_ Where is the outrage when Wilder is punching inferiorly genetically gifted men to sleep?
You have to ask why men place testosterone at the apex?: “only a man could do that. Only men have testosterone” - it’s weird.
