We are trying to bring more energy to the characters by exaggerating features and expressions. The characters will now be closer reflections to their personalities.

Sorry I want to go on a rant about this and expand more on my thoughts. If I’m wrong I’m wrong and I’d love to hear other opinions

Obviously not everyone would get a shot at this. Obviously a limited amount of spots, but 4 teams is ridiculous. That’s a hour of gameplay and taking home a minimum of $10,000. Which is great for everyone involved, I’m sure it’s wonderful. The ones that are there DO deserve it and I’m not trying to take that away

And obviously the point of this is to get new faces into the game and try to convert their audiences. I get that. I know it. I know how marketing works

This is $150,000 thrown into this tournament, and it’s basically being used to pass along to friends to play the game for a hour like a sponsorship

This is where maybe my mindset doesn’t align. If I was ever reached out and told to host a tournament with that prize pool I would immediately take it as something professional and a job. My friends wouldn’t take part unless they were actually in the scene. I would be tweeting out and using any connections I know to see who is in the scene. I’d have people be doing research on streaming or content sites to see who seems like they’d be a good fit. That much money being handed out it’d be important to me to research and see who should actually be there

If there was some mandate to get my popular content friends in on it too then I’d either 1). Make them all a team captain, or 2). Make it like a full day or even two tournament with many teams

I don’t understand how we have two tournaments with basically half a million put into them and it’s like 90% people outside the game community. And then acting like you are doing a favor and saying you made sure to get “small” streamers like Jay3 when they are nearing 1 million twitch followers and nearly at the top 250 channels on the entirety of twitch lol

This isn’t a slam against Jay at all, he’s amazing. And again I’m not saying any of those creators don’t deserve to be there because they do but let’s be fr
