Witness tells Leon Briggs inquest:
“I remember feeling like there was no need for whatever that was going on. To me he just seemed fragile and there was no need for how they were going on with him." https://t.co/6pAmhbF8w9
The Tories are relying on 40 years of "problems in society, like poverty and unemployment, are caused by the bad decisions of individuals and aren't the responsibility of the state" dogma being rammed down our throats to shield them from accountability over the pandemic.
@mrjamesob This was my reaction. Presumably government takes big public swings like this safe in the knowledge that it represents the views of the voting majority. It’s frightening.
What Brexiters actually ‘won’:
• A border in our own country
•2nd class citizenship on our own continent
•Destabilising of our own union
•Lorry parks
•Huge cost, hassle, red tape
•A trashed economy
•A corrupt, deregulating govt
•A national Darwin Award in perpetuity
not being funny but i’ve never met a vegan/vegetarian who’s forced their views on me but i’ve met plenty of meat eaters who have gone out of their way to tell me why being veggie is stupid

sat in garden, drinking coffee, watching bees on lavender, trying not to feel overwhelmed by the depressing revelation the NT has a semi-secret invite only directors training programme. more assumed knowledge. more feeling small n stupid as a working class person in the industry
Earlier today I went to Bovingdon Academy to see how they are safely getting kids back into school.
Our £1 billion fund is going to help schools catch up and bounce forward when all schools come back in September.
its always amazed me how “i have a boyfriend” is the strongest card to get guys to stop harassing me bc they’ll respect a man they don’t know before they respect the woman in front of them
.@NickFerrariLBC@LBC Enjoying the show this morning but could have done without the message from a listener blaming the government mishandling Coronavirus on their arts degrees. As a Drama graduate I can tell you it doesn’t take a science degree to listen and do what’s right.
