Given that
1) the climate is an extraordinarily complicated and variable chaotic system, and
2) physical records (climate proxies) tell us that CO2 played no significant role with regard to temperature in the past, then
3) there must be some other natural factor or factors playing a role we do not yet fully appreciate or understand.
Climate activists don't seem to have the humility to admit this, however.

Does the IPCC Exaggerate Climate Science?
A new study finds the IPCC Summary for Policymakers has systematically amplified climate science beyond what the underlying report actually says

๐งต Chinaโs population collapse is now mathematically irreversible.
There simply arenโt enough women left of childbearing age.
Even if the fertility rate magically returned to replacement level (2.1 children per woman) tomorrow, the country would still lose more than 40% of its population by 2100.
It won't. The real number is 75%. There's nothing like it in history. ๐งต
Climate researcher @curryja says climate scientists have a reason to exaggerate risk.
Whatโs in it for them?
โFame and fortune,โ Curry tells me.
Curry has inside info about how โthe scienceโ has been hijacked.
Bernie's AI Fix, by @dianefrancis1 https://t.co/diHky15CpK Pope Leo XIV has weighed in, but Senator Bernie Sanders announced the most drastic and interesting solution of all. He proposed that Americaโs largest technology companies hand over half of their equity to a federal government sovereign fund so the companies can be controlled and their profits can be shared with all Americans. To pull this off, he suggested a โone-time 50% taxโ on AI giants, payable by handing over 50% of their shares to a publicly owned wealth fund managed by the government. Critics immediately cried expropriation and injustice, but President Donald Trump agreed in principle to the scheme.
WHY I CLASSIFY SOME POSTERS AS CLIMITARDS!
First, for decades good skeptical scientists have been called deniers and fossil fuel puppets to dismiss their inconvenient science. The scientific process has been suppressed by those with a political agenda by claiming the science is settled. Most of the people that make such allegations do not know climate science. Thus, to balance the name-calling, I classify those people as CLIMITARDS.
99% of scientists, from alarmists to skeptics, agree there is a greenhouse effect. And thatโs a very good thing. Otherwise, earthโs average temperature would fall below freezing. Cold-related deaths are 10X more common than heat related deaths.
The scientific debate is not about the existence of the greenhouse effect. The debate is about how much rising CO2 will cause dangerous extreme weather and a deadly climate crisis. Climitards do not understand the difference. They make convoluted arguments simply using evidence of that greenhouse effect being real to then fearmonger a climate crisis. Politicians push a climate crisis to support their desire for the need of more global governance. By dishonestly weaponizing natural bad weather, they argue CO2 is the climate control knob, and rising CO2 makes everything worse.
To argue CO2 is the climate control knob, Climitards have pushed a graph showing the glacial-interglacials, stating that warming coincides with rising CO2 and cooling with less CO2. However, climitards ignore the science showing warming occurred first and the rise in CO2 followed as warming oceans released more CO2. Rising CO2 was a result not the cause!
A climitard has recently posted his versions of โEvidence of Human caused Warmingโ which rightfully classifies him as a climitard. He convolutes evidence for a beneficial greenhouse effect and then dishonestly twists it into support for a climate crisis. Hereโs some of the climitardโs evidence!
1) Evidence : โLower troposphere is warmingโ. Yes, and CO2 likely contributed a small amount, but a warming Global Average Temperature is also caused by Urban Heat Island effects, loss of wetlands, warming oceans, ventilating stored ocean heat, reduced cloud cover, etc. Thus, troposphere warming is not evidence that more CO2 will cause catastrophic warming. Furthermore, Climitards ignore the science that CO2โs warming effects diminishes logarithmically with its increasing concentration.
2) Evidence : โUpper atmosphere Coolsโ. Yes, and thatโs a very good thing. Convection is the main dynamic carrying heat away from the surface critical for life. However, for energy from the sun to radiate back to space, CO2 becomes the earthโs savior. 99% of our atmosphere is O2 and N2 and cannot radiate the heat away. They must transfer that heat to CO2, so CO2 can radiate the heat back to space. A cooling upper atmosphere due to more CO2 is the good side of the greenhouse dynamics.
3) Evidence : โLand is warming faster than oceansโ. Here he goes full climitard ! That is only evidence that water has a greater heat capacity. It takes 4 to 5 times as much energy to raise a pound of water as it does a pound of dry dirt The most basic of physics.
4) Evidence : โOceans gaining record amounts of heatโ. Indeed, oceans have slightly warmed, but its most likely due to greater solar heating with reduced cloud cover. It is not evidence of human caused warming. The science is clear solar heating is far more likely to warm the oceans than CO2โs infrared or a warmer atmosphere. Read: Oceans Warm by Trapping Solar Heat in ways CO2 Canโt! https://t.co/Zz0IfaGPbi
5) Evidence : โGlaciers and ice sheets are shrinkingโ. Some Glaciers are shrinking, but like Kilimanjaro it is NOT always due to warmer temperatures but due to changes in moisture transport. Kilimanjaroโs shrinking glaciers never experienced above freezing temperatures. Surface mass balance of Greenland show the ice sheet surface gains 400 gigatons of ice every year. Lost ice comes from subsurface melting of glaciers grounded below sea level caused by changing ocean circulations that bring relatively warmer waters to the base of the submerged glaciers. Likewise, any net lost ice on Antarctica is not due to surface melting.
6) โArctic amplificationโ is not evidence of human warming. Again, it is due to changes in ocean circulation that occurred at the end of the Little Ice Age before rising CO2 could have an effect. Watch: Understand the causes of Arctic Amplification and Ice Melt, & Polar Bear Increases https://t.co/wxUfk51bHN
7) โDeclining carbon-13 ratiosโ. More convoluted climitard โproof.โ Yes declining carbon-13 ratios coincide with more burning of fossil fuels. Any release of stored organic carbon will indeed reduce the ratio. That is only evidence that fossil fuels affect the ratios, but so what? The ratio does not cause warming or extreme weather.
Climitards attempt to silence good skeptical scientists with empty correlations is detrimental to the scientific process. Bad analyses promote worthless and costly remedies. But the politically motivated alarmists, like to fearmonger bad analyses, so they can control how you live!
Saganโs warning fits Carney perfectly.
The danger is not just ignorance. The danger is ignorance managed by credentialed power.
Carney represents the modern technocrat: fluent in the language of science, finance, climate models, AI, central banking, global governance, and โexpert consensus.โ But the ordinary Canadian is supposed to nod along while the country gets poorer, less productive, more indebted, more regulated, and more dependent on systems almost nobody can challenge.
That is the combustible mixture Sagan warned about: immense technical power in the hands of a few, while citizens are told they are too uninformed to question the plan.
Carney talks about AI, climate, productivity, investment, and global competitiveness. OK. But Canada is now in a technical recession, and Carney himself has warned that the data will be โunevenโ as his government pushes reforms. Reuters also reported his AI strategy promises 250,000 jobs by 2031 and a 3% GDP boost, which sounds lovely, but Canadians have heard glossy Liberal promises before.
The Stoic questions are simple:
What is true?
What is proven?
What is assumed?
Who pays if this fails?
Who gets protected from the consequences?
Science is a way of thinking, not a costume for political authority. You do not get to wrap ideology in graphs and call it wisdom.
Canada does not need more priesthood politics, where the public is told to trust the experts while food banks grow, productivity sinks, housing becomes absurd, and young people wonder if adulthood has been priced out of reach.
A Stoic citizen does not reject expertise. He tests it.
Carney may be brilliant. That does not make him right. Intelligence without humility becomes arrogance. Expertise without accountability becomes rule by managers. And power without public understanding becomes exactly what Sagan feared.
My hard line:
Do not confuse credentials with wisdom. Do not confuse models with reality. Do not confuse technocratic confidence with truth. A free country needs citizens who can question power, especially when power speaks in polished sentences and calls itself science.
The vast, featureless wastes of the Sahara Desert have shrunk by about 8% since the 1980s.
This astonishing recovery is due to rising COโ levels, fueling a remarkable global green renaissance. Data from NASAโs AVHRR and MODIS instruments show 25% to 50% of Earth's vegetated lands have become significantly greenerโan area equivalent to twice the continental United States that has also spurred a global windfall for agricultural production.
COโ fertilisation has driven around 70% of this boom, making green plants far more efficient with water. By reducing the time stomata (leaf pores) stay open, it directly cuts water loss and boosts drought resistance.
This unplanned green miracle has allowed vegetation to reclaim zones of great emptiness in inhospitable places like the Sahel (the Sahara's southern fringe), the Middle East and Australia's sunburned outback desert. It has reclaimed over 700,000 km2 of barren sand waste in the Sahara alone, pushing back the desert in formerly barren terrain.
Atmospheric COโ now hovers around 426 ppm, enabling plants to thrive where once they couldn't. This protracted greening shows the clear, measurable benefit from higher levels of COโ.
Only one molecule of every 85,000 in the atmosphere is CO2 of human origin. Thirty-two CO2 molecules of natural origin are among that same 85,000. Climate alarmists tell us that this one human-induced CO2 molecule is the driving force behind climate change while the other 32 are not. We must assume this means that some CO2 molecules are more equal than others.
I still can't get over the fact that the Canadian government is not ashamed by the fact that they are giving people money for groceries. In any normal country, this would be an abject admission of total failure.
Treating a minor shift in a trace gas as a 'code red' planetary emergencyโwhile ignoring the massive planetary buffer systemsโis a failure of perspective.
The oceans are a vast thermal and chemical flywheel. Because they are so vast and deep, their capacity to absorb, store, and redistribute heat and gases operates on centuries-long timescales. This dwarfs the short-term models of centralised bureaucracies. For example, the oceans contain 86% of the world's global carbon reservoir; yet the atmosphere holds a mere 1% to 2%.
Science itself shows that human-produced COโ adds only around 3.4% to the full annual global carbon cycle. But natural climate variation has been enlisted by globalist power brokers to drive a campaign blaming COโ for a future catastrophe. The roles of water vapor, clouds and oceans are being bypassed. They don't suit the agenda. Yet oceans cover 72% of the Earth's surface to an average depth of 2.3 miles and contain 91% of all the world's retained heat energy. The atmosphere retains hardly any.
They are so vast that all variations in concentrations of soluble COโ are readily absorbed into the marine sink. As oceans warm they retain less COโ; when they cool, they retain more. This is known as Henry's Law. Natural processes heavily influence how much COโ resides in the atmosphere at any given time.
The human contribution, while measurable, is a fractional perturbation within a massive, dynamic system dominated by water vapor, cloud albedo and the sheer thermal inertia of the oceans. This also overlooks the complex, self-regulating feedback of cloud albedo.
As evaporation increases, cloud cover expands, acting as a natural planetary shield that reflects incoming solar radiation back into spaceโa chaotic, balancing mechanism that a simplified, COโ-centric model cannot fully capture.
Water vapor is the Earth's most abundant greenhouse gas, making up to 4% of the atmosphere by volume in the tropics. This is 40,000 ppm compared with COโ at roughly 420 ppm. Yet water vapor has been minimised by a simplified political narrative because, unlike well-mixed atmospheric gases, it is not uniformly distributedโits concentrations are constantly shifting over the vast expanses of the seas.
We seem to know more about the topography of the Moon than the geography and dynamics of the deep oceans. The tropics and rainforests are accepted zones of peak water vapor. These are also primary zones for storm activitiesโlike monsoons and seasonal rainfallโessential to atmospheric turbulence and heat redistribution.
Basic physics reveals that water vapor and clouds account for a vast majority of Earth's natural greenhouse effectโroughly 70% to 85%โwhile COโ is a minor shadow at around 9% to 12%. Its role is important to the atmospheric mix, but this doesn't mean it runs the world's climate. Water absorbs and traps infrared radiation on a massive scale, playing the dominant role in weather, cloud formation and precipitation.
The 'global warming or bust' agenda minimises the importance of cloud albedo and regional complexity. By flattening water vapor into a simple mathematical slave to COโ, global models ignore the chaotic, self-regulating dynamics of cloud formation (which reflects sunlight and cools the earth) and localised tropical dynamics.
A decentralised, water-dominated climate driven by regional ocean currents and chaotic cloud formations cannot be managed, taxed or centralised. This offers no financial leverage for global governance.
A well-mixed, uniform trace gas like COโ, however, provides the perfect metric for a centralised system and a whopping (and unnecessary) $275 trillion grid duplication.

House of Commons was full of talk about forced labour yesterday.
Iโd like to remind people... Mark Carney, while he was at Brookfield, was fined for slave labour conditions on a soybean farm in Brazil.

Canada has been confirmed in a technical recession.
Youth unemployment sits at 13.3%.
The poverty rate is 11.1%. 25.5% of Canadians are food insecure.
37,121 Canadians filed for insolvency in Q1 2026, the highest since 2009.
The most recent national polls show the Liberals at 45 to 47% nationally.
Jim and Iain's explanation is that most people do not follow politics day to day.
