We were honoured to witness a brushing off ceremony conducted by members of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation of The Spirit of Burnaby at City Hall. The carving by Salish artist Gerry Sheena and apprentice Matthew Reid was commissioned and gifted to the City by Burnaby's William McCarthy

Exciting day for Burnaby as we officially broke ground on a project that will create 155 affordable homes for seniors. Thank you to our provincial partners and the Dania Society for helping to bring this project to our community – can’t wait to see the finished product!

The new temporary Fire Station 8 on Burnaby Mountain will greatly enhance the response capability as we await for the permanent home. Thank you to SFU for providing the land and to the Federal Government of Canada for the $30M contribution towards this project.

The Celeste Redman Community Centre was officially opened in the Brentwood Town Centre neighbourhood. It’s home to Cameray Child & Family Services, a community-based non-profit agency offering counselling, education, outreach, advocacy and other services.
