Huge congratulations on your PhD Hannah and richly deserved! Fantastic first publication coming from your #bushmeat#wildmeat research into supply chains in northern #Ghana > https://t.co/GRupoG40tw
.@han_sack's PhD at @univofghana, withYaa Ntiamoa-Baidu & @James_Mac5, is a groundbreaking study of #bushmeat trade in N. #Ghana, revealing long-distance trade incl crossborder with #BurkinaFaso, & substantial #frog harvest for local sale https://t.co/lCz5Z4xbC5
🐸In their recent article, @han_sack et al. analysed the type & volume of bushmeat on sale at 3 markets in northern Ghana. Unlike in southern markets, frogs were by far the most commonly traded species, while ungulates comprised the bulk of the biomass🦌

Applying learning from #socialscience research is vital to capturing local views and ensuring that sustainable agricultural transitions are tailored to local needs @SmithsonianWLS#conservationoptimism
In Gabon, transitioning to more eco-friendly agricultural practices can also build local resilience to socio-economic challenges. Social science research is helping the @NationalZoo Gabon Biodiversity Program understand how to best support farmers through these changes.
Great new paper exploring #Conservationsocialscience in working land and seascapes, highlighting key issues from across the social sciences to help improve conservation decision-making @SmithsonianWLS, @NathanJBennett

@Trader_EGO Good work - always appreciate your charts and order-flow analysis. A refreshing interpretation that links the indicators to the underlying drivers of sentiment and behaviour 👍
Our new paper, looking at how the macro-economic impacts of COVID19 might filter through to the wild meat trade #Gabon#Ghana. Insights to help #BuildBackBetter and support economies and #livelihoods

@Trader_EGO I will let you know if the problem persists - but it seems to be this end, & if I can access the full res. versions on desktop, it is certainly no biggie.
Thanks for taking the time to post these charts again. Nice to see the order flow of the market and MM's positioning inc.
@Trader_EGO Apologies for my slow reply.
I have just re-checked the chart on my laptop, and indeed, the resolution is great and all commentary is very clearly legible.
It must be a quirk with the presentation on my mobile? Which seems odd.... but not a major issue
Recently met with the head of small European conservation NGO working in Africa. Was told field staff shouldn't be co-authors on papers because they don't "do science", but she should, despite not being directly involved in the work. 🤬This deeply shameful and needs to stop🤬
@Trader_EGO Great chart and insight. Any chance of posting slighter higher res versions in the future? The commentary on the chart is very useful but tricky to read some of it. Thanks for posting!
Thought provoking piece on the importance of adaptive community-focused wildlife management - the case of the Canadian Caribou @CIFOR @johnfasierra1 https://t.co/jQ64MGazUP
