Huge thanks to @StrafeOuterwear. First, for making the best snowboard jacket I've ever worn, and secondly, and so impressively, for repairing a worn corner of the jacket, and sending it across the Atlantic twice to get it back home to me in Switzerland. For free. You guys rock.
The most powerful, intimate, evocative, visual + heartbreaking window into this growing monstrosity that I've experienced. Searing snapshots of threads undone. For me, essential listening. Stopped cold. #stopwar#ukraine

K. So it occurs to me that I end every unit of writing with a publication celebration, complete with kid champagne, and end every math unit with a silent test. Ideas for celebration of a chunk of math learning?
"Simplify" "you can do it" "🙂" Loving the affirming notes - to - self this student writes to herself for a math assessment. #zislearns#zisexperience@ZISnews#mathed
@kalleyhoke@Leah_Ittner @alicelsikora @oryan21 A few top hits in my class this year... Uneventful Events in the Life of a Cactus, Out of My Mind (great readaloud!), Cloudbusting, Alone, Gregor series, and Mr Terupt series stay big winners :)
@butcher74 Agreed. Totally. Except maybe that "feel like" part. There's no doubt that the idea of facilimanipulation is a regular teacher practice, but I think the intent is for students to produce work that they genuinely own. As you said, lots to unpack. Thanks for the share!
"The vessels of redemption aren't chosen for their seaworthiness." - a great quote from @1JessWalter describing the potential betterment of a post-prison Michael Cohen on @NowChronicles following his story https://t.co/WZ5k93th3y - really enjoying the speculative storytelling.
@ironcardigan This podcast seems like something that might be right up your alley... Reflective, speculative fiction inspired by headlines of the day... https://t.co/hkERAB7lPC
Free 2-day conference which will address some really important topics in education including anti-racism, DEIB, and many others. Definitely looking forward to it!
