NATO首脳会合には、NATO加盟国だけでなく、パートナー国も数多く参加しています。日本も、インド太平洋パートナーです。

今回は、湾岸パートナーであるクウェートの、ジャッラーハ外相と会談しました。

ジャッラーハ外相とは何度も電話会談で意思疎通を行なってきましたが、今回は、初の対面での会談です。エネルギーや投資といった二国間の具体的な協力や、イラン情勢、インド太平洋情勢について、じっくりと議論を深めることができました。

التقى معالي الشيخ جراح جابر الأحمد الصباح، وزير الخارجية، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 7 يوليو 2026، بمعالي السيد توشيميتسو موتيجي، وزير خارجية اليابان الصديقة، وذلك في إطار الزيارة التي يقوم بها معاليه إلى العاصمة التركية أنقرة لترؤس وفد دولة الكويت المشارك في الاجتماع الوزاري لدول مبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون والدول الأعضاء في حلف شمال الأطلسي، والمقرر عقده على هامش أعمال قمة حلف شمال الأطلسي.

جرى خلال اللقاء استعراض العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الصديقين، وسبل تطويرها وتعزيزها في مختلف المجالات. كما تم التطرق إلى آخر التطورات على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية.

FM MOTEGI issued the following message regarding the attack on International Airport in Kuwait.
Japan condemns the attacks on June 3 against civilian facilities in Kuwait, including the international airport, which resulted in a large number of casualties. We extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to all those who are affected.
Regarding the situation surrounding Iran, what matters most is that the ceasefire is maintained and that the agreement between the U.S. and Iran, including ensuring free and safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, is achieved as soon as possible. To this end, Japan will continue to tenaciously make diplomatic efforts in close coordination with the international community.
Furthermore, we will continue to take all possible measures to ensure the protection of Japanese nationals in the Middle East region.
