Decide what to be, and go be it. Florida State Senate President Pro Tempore, District 10. Traveler and sportsman. Florida MBA. Dartmouth MPH. UCF PhD student.
One of the unsung heroes of the @FLSenate and the entire legislative process: Andrew Mackintosh. Few understand the role chiefs play—the balancing act, the quiet struggles, the weight of difficult decisions. The process is better off when good people, like Andrew, endure these roles. Job well done my friend.
🚨ANOTHER GREAT DAY FOR FL: Some are characterizing the results of today's vote on property tax reform as a TREMENDOUS WIN for the state
Sen. @JasonBrodeur: "This is an issue that affects everybody, [...] let's at least give it the opportunity to be on the November ballot."
Our nation is blessed by the service and sacrifice of the men and women who wear the uniform.
This Military Appreciation Month and EVERY month, we are grateful for all you do to defend our freedoms.

Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder to check in on our friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
A simple conversation, a moment of kindness, or asking someone how they are really doing can make a difference.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom comes at a cost.
Today, we remember the fallen heroes who gave everything for our nation. Their sacrifice lives through the families who carry their memory and the country they served so faithfully.
May we never forget.
Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and to all the incredible moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who fill our lives with love, strength, and joy.
Wishing everyone a blessed Mother’s Day!
On this National Day of Prayer, I’m grateful for the power of faith, family, and community.
Let us pray for wisdom, compassion, and strength for our state, our country, and all those who serve in defense for our great nation.
Law enforcement did what they do best last night and prevented an evil individual from harming President Trump or any other attendees at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Now is the time to come together as one country and condemn political violence!
Proud of what we accomplished this legislative session. From passing landmark legislation enhancing student debate programs to expanding access to lifesaving medications, we are reinforcing Florida’s standing as an incredible place to live and raise a family.
Take a moment to watch this quick recap 👇
I had a great time visiting local elementary and high school students to talk about civics and how our government works.
It’s always encouraging to see young people engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and learning about the responsibilities that come with being active citizens. These conversations are so important as we help prepare the next generation to lead and serve our communities.
It was great to be with the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce this week to provide a legislative recap from this year’s session.
We had a productive session focused on supporting Florida’s economy, protecting our natural resources, and making our state more affordable for the families and businesses we serve. I appreciated the opportunity to share updates, answer questions, and hear directly from local business leaders about the issues that matter most to them.
Thank you to the Chamber for the invitation and for all you do to support our local economy.
Seminole County’s premier hub for academic innovation, Seminole State College, celebrated 25 years of their Oviedo campus. I’d like to congratulate the college on its lasting impact, training the next generation of Floridians, and for leading the way in education.
.@WLRN - Florida’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program faces a serious funding shortfall. 30,000+ Floridians rely on ADAP—16,000 could lose coverage. I’ve sponsored stopgap funding in the Senate to keep lifesaving care flowing. No one should lose treatment.

As the gavel drops over the 60th day of this session, there is much work left to do. I'm proud of what the Senate achieved under Pres. Albritton's leadership and our commitment to make FL more affordable. We said we would tackle rising costs and we've delivered on our promise!
Government should be accountable to the people it serves. With Senate passage of SB 1366, Florida is raising payment caps in lawsuits against the government, strengthening justice and doing right by our citizens.
