I get the need for things like domain by proxy and other anonymous means of participating, but campaigns, parties, and PACs should be a heck of a lot more open with their efforts. If you stand by them, put your name to them.

@shadihamid The geopolitical landscape for the last 25 years would be very different, but the Iraq War was probably still in the cards. Both Bush and Gore spoke about the lengths they’d go to enforce the resolutions. Bush also came to office on a much more isolationist approach.

One of the things that’s hard to impress upon people who weren’t alive or who were very young on 9/11 was how little we knew about what was happening as it was happening. You didn’t know what reports to believe. It felt like the end of the world.
