@Coach_BHaines What an insecure post, especially from a national championship DC. Ty gave your unit the highest compliment he could re:execution & being coached. This was your takeaway? Goodness.
Well, after a 4 year wait, what a disappointment the Peaky Blinders movie turned out to be. An ill-formed plot, executed by a miscast son of Tommy Shelby leads to a death completely incongruent with the man we watched for 6 seasons. Far better to have left the series as the end. Sad.
Max in 22: This car is ass
Max in 23: This car...is low-key still ass. Also in 26 my car is going to be turbo ass btw
Max in 24: This car is ass
Max in 25: This car is ass
Max in 26: THIS IS EVEN WORSE THAN I THOUGHT WTF?
F1 fans: He only complains when he's not winning!!
@caviterginsoy@Verstappenn_ Not even the FIA agrees with this, lol. The new regs and racing has been universally condemned, so much so that reg changes have been moved up in the calendar to try and save face. Stop being tribal, OP's point is valid regardless of who he supports.
Formula 1 has a serious problem. The new regulation set has rendered an awful, awful product. Artificial racing, battery graphics on the screen during broadcast, cars that have taken the driver's ability to push to the limit...an incredibly sad state of affairs in a sport so many of us love.
@WTSmith17 That may be the most desperate thing I've seen in a long time. Also, when someone pulls the "you're not smarter than me..." card, you're definitely...smarter than them.
This is quite possibly the dumbest take on the clip below one could imagine. Nick Saban has been harping on the importance of education in the life of the college athlete for a decade. Respectfully, sit down and be quiet, Ameshia. The accomplished adults are trying to solve a problem.
Again, it's not vague if you're a fan of the sport. Furthermore, when Pate refers to the mess as "off the field issues," "structure of the game problems" and asks "what rules can you make or enforce" you really have to leap to pretend that you don't know what he's talking about. Especially given how recently Trump has talked openly about NIL and the federal government. Is it a 10 out to 10 specificity? No, it wasn't, we can agree there. But as I've said before, to pretend that he in no way attempted to ask about the problems plaguing the game is disingenuous. You would have done it differently, got it, but that's aside from the issue we're discussing.
@JackBellar05@JesseReSimonton Fine to disagree on level of specificity, but again, to flat out say that he didn't attempt to ask (as OP did) is incorrect
@JackBellar05@JesseReSimonton Fine with that take, but it presumes that he did in fact, ask. If you’re a CFB fan, there’s also nothing vague about referring to “the mess.” We all know exactly what that’s referring to, there aren’t 20 choices.
Not the best format for long form discussion, but I saw all of your messages and agree with a good amount of the sentiment. Where we differ is (I think) Pate's ability to press or get appropriate answers from the president. I'll take him at his word that the original plan was to dive deeper, but his time was cut into 1/4th the night beforehand.
I believe right wingers were being performative when they clamored about Obama's birth certificate, I believe left wingers are still performative about "Russian collusion" in Trump's first term, I believe right wingers were being performative about Biden's overseas dealings...so yes, I believe being performative is the MO of the opposing party from that which is in the office. Causes & facts aside, they don't actually care. It's a platform.
None of those people were mad until January of 2025, those files started in 2007. Regardless, that has nothing to do with Pate and the interview, so you'll have to try harder to convince yourself that any of your backlash towards it was real. Both of you groups of people are so performative.
What are you going on about? You're just typing angrily about hating Donald Trump, "dealing with reality", on multiple of my posts simply stating that the interview was innocuous in the CFB world. Plenty of room elsewhere for you to hate whatever politician you want, all good by me.
Politics in this country are so deeply unserious. Listening to the governor of Virgina lecture the country on how we've departed so far from the vision of the Founding Fathers...Lady, the FF never intended for you to be able to vote, much less be making this speech, lol.
@jmflynn74@TrumpyCaneGhost@Goat_Latia Ha! Well, we agree that one guy knows a ton and the other dude is just there to riff on whatever.
Take care as well my friend
The second question is entirely about college football. "You go to a lot of college football games..." Which is true, he's gone to a number of CFB games while in office. Always a talking point among media. Asking how Trump decides which CFB game he decides to go to is...entirely about CFB.
Pathetic feels like an emotional judgement. They were, of course, objectively "Trump" answers. Comical in their lack of direct response, rambling certainly, but I place no value in his answers.
