The power outage this morning in parts of Bellevue is due to an equipment failure at the Bellevue substation. Crews are in route to make an assessment and repairs.

NES is switching as many customers as possible to other circuits to reduce the size of the outage. No estimate on repairs yet.

Newsom Station Road is closed from River Valley Drive to Merrymount Drive due to flooding.

The Harpeth River at Bellevue is forecast to reach 19.60 feet. At 20 ft, flooding along the river impacts many roads including Old Harding Pike near Morton Mill Rd, Morton Mill Rd between Northridge Dr and Bay Cove Trl, Moran Rd, and Newsome Station Rd. Water also begins to impact properties adjacent to the river in the 7800 block of Hwy 100, on Old Natchez Trace near Sneed Rd, and reaches the Ensworth High School athletic structures and facilities. Water approaches properties on Temple Rd south of Hwy 100. (6/6)

This morning’s lockdown at Gower Elementary was in response to a threatening phone call. MNPD has completed the process of sweeping the building and the perimeter and found no threat. The lockdown has been lifted so students are free to move about the building,
