I spoke to @realDonaldTrump by phone earlier today. He said he’s not in a rush to get a deal with Iran and fighting is likely to resume as soon as the ceasefire ends, which he said would be Wednesday night Washington time.
President Donald Trump said it’s “highly unlikely” he would extend the two-week ceasefire with Iran if a deal is not reached before it ends, and said the Strait of Hormuz would remain blocked until an agreement is finalized. https://t.co/Bzx7IM7keL via @JeffMason1
Sharing some personal/professional news: After 25 amazing years @Reuters, I’m making a move, joining Bloomberg as a Washington correspondent and senior member of the White House and politics team. I’ll be writing for @business and doing regular hits for @BloombergTV. I’m excited to join a great team when I start at the end of this month. It has been an absolute privilege to work for Reuters for so long and with such terrific colleagues and friends, in the U.S. and abroad, especially on our WH team. I’m beyond grateful. It’s very hard to leave. I’m not going far, though, and I remain committed to the values that both Reuters and Bloomberg uphold to produce fair, robust journalism. Stay tuned for more of that to come.
The architect representing @realDonaldTrump told the @NCPCgov they are considering adding a one story addition to the West Wing (over the press room) to provide symmetry with the new East Wing and ballroom project.
Overnight, the Justice Department released hundreds more heavily redacted pages of material it had gathered on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. They come in addition to the thousands of pages released Friday, but what has been made public so far falls short of the full disclosure required by the law Congress passed last month.
