@EM_RESUS Just finished my Emergency/First Responder training as a volunteer and found your feed.
Really interesting to see this, amazed the young guy hadn’t collapsed by then. That right lung is doing some heavy work. Appreciate the knowledge and insight, thanks.
The Caterham car made from Puma HC2 helicopter parts has sold at auction!
It was built in a joint project between the Fund, @RoyalAirForce, @CaterhamCars, and @Missionmotorspt as a tribute to the lives saved by this unsung hero ❤️💙

@Si11y3gg Just seen this, well done. I was one of the First Aid volunteers with St John Ambulance, working with LAS in the control room. Glad you had a nice time. It was good to give some help back after the nasty accident in May (the photo on your feed!).
@RedRosesRugby@amycokayne Great game @amycokayne! Watching from the east stand as a guest instead of my normal St John Ambulance volunteering role. Congrats to the team.
Not something you see everyday at Tesco Twickenham. The car has crash through the bollards onto the pedestrian walkway, taken out a signpost and a rubbish bin. Apparently one pedestrian also #crash#accelerator
For those who might not be aware, parking charges are now live at the following UK Tesla Supercharger locations:
- Heathrow Terminal 5 (£5 for up to 1 hour)
- Heathrow Renaissance (£5 for up to 1 hour)
- White City (£3 for up to 1 hour)
- Carmarthen (£3 for 30-60 minutes)
Tesla has endeavoured to negotiate the removal of these fees for Tesla owners, considering the significant business opportunities these sites have access to (imagine having your business highlighted to ~1 million people across Europe every time they get in their cars) but alas this has failed so far, understandably, the majority of our members are displeased with this development. We continue to advocate for Tesla to seek a compromise, such as waiving the fee on a minimum spend of ~£20. Nevertheless, we urge everyone to remain polite and understanding towards these locations. It's certainly irritating, but the removal of the chargers would be a far greater inconvenience.
For the record the most loved Supercharger locations in the UK, according to our data, are those offering free parking and exceptional food and beverage choices (e.g. Tebay, Darts Farm, Lifton, Trentham, etc.) and whilst Tesla does not anticipate this change to extend to other locations we also hope the above sites reconsider this approach or can find a suitable compromise for those owners who would make the effort of going in and spending money with them but right now might be put off by parking fees. In the meanwhile let us all support these fantastic businesses that have collaborated with Tesla and provide a range of items that Tesla owners desire and are happy to purchase!
Additional points:
- Tesla Owners who frequently use any of these locations will receive emails from Tesla regarding these changes (we don't believe this has happened yet?)
- Improved signage and updates to the Trip Planner are being implemented (this may have already been completed).
- Enhanced barriers for card payments are soon to be installed at T5, removing the necessity for owners to enter the hotel or use the parking app.
Do you know of any remarkable businesses that would be an ideal location for a Tesla Supercharger? Please forward this link to any UK/EU businesses that would be a perfect fit (e.g. large car park, 24/7 facilities & exceptional food/drink) >> https://t.co/MciNVuFH9O
Left your bag with ladies sports kit on 1345 train from St Margarets to Waterloo? Handed into staff at Waterloo station. Also contains something more valuable, please tell staff what it is to reclaim. @SW_Help @BTPLondon
.@LBRUT any chance this could be looked at in Twickenham & Richmond? It’s a trial in Oxford to charge EVs from your own home with a narrow gully for power lead across pavement. @munirawilson@AlexanderEhmann. Cheaper than installing lamppost or bollard chargers.
With an increasing number of negative news articles about electric vehicles, and the continuing misconceptions about home charging without a driveway, I feel it’s appropriate to re-share my (very positive) experience of charging on-street with a cable gulley.
