Parting is painful, but it is God’s will.
This morning, Israel killed my sister, my heart, Nesreen, and her beloved sons and daughters: Ubaida, Omar, and Lian, along with Ubaida’s wife, Malak, and their children, Siwar and Mohammed.
Breaking: A large number of casualties, mostly women and children, as Israeli airstrikes hit homes, mosques, schools, shelters, and refugee tents in Gaza.
It’s interesting that they never asked the French why the Olympics were alcohol free? No one seemed to mention that there was no alcohol served or allowed in any of the Olympic events in paris
My father's lawyer has confirmed he will attend court on March 4 for a second case involving serious, unfounded charges under the Tunisian Penal Code and the 2015-26 "counter-terrorism" law. These charges include "conspiracy against state security" and attempting to "change the nature of the State," both of which carry the death penalty under Article 72 of the Penal Code. My father faces concurrent sentences as a result.
.@Husseini_Sara_L from @BritPalCommitt: "Trumps statements constitute the most explicit call for ethnic cleansing..."
BBC Presenter: "Obviously as you would expect me to say... Netanyahu & others would I'm sure reject the idea that what they're promoting here is ethnic cleansing
My father, Said Ferjani, Tunisian MP and political prisoner, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after nearly two years of unlawful pretrial detention under President Kais Saied’s authoritarian crackdown on democracy and human rights.
We, his family, reject this farcical sentence, based on baseless, trumped-up charges designed to silence critical voices. We stand in full solidarity with him and all defenders of human rights facing repression.
We are reminded by my father’s words:
“Despotism has no morals and no justice, and does not recognise any rights … We call on all free people around the world and believers in human rights and democracy to take a clear stance against oppressive authoritarianism and heinous racism, and with democracy and human rights.”
Update:
around 11pm in Tunis and lawyers are still pleading the case for the instalingo detainees. Ruling usually swiftly follows. My father’s lawyer decided to boycott today’s proceedings due to the complete lack of due process throughout this farcical “case”.
Reminder: Israel is still holding Dr. Husam Abu Safiya hostage since December after murdering his son before his eyes
No charges, no trial, no evidence...
A hostage, held purely as a bargaining chip!
