The Premier bought a luxury jet & really wants jets at Billy Bishop airport. Where is this push really coming from? Why is this the priority of this govt, instead of housing, healthcare, or education? https://t.co/CnV4hjW9qg
Every year I am pleased to bake & donate a cake to @refugeoutreach Cake Auction! This year's theme was "herbs", which was a challenge. I baked an angel food cake w blackberry & vanilla buttercream, infused w fresh garden oregano. Fun to spend some quality time in the kitchen! :)
Appreciating automotive awesomeness at the Annual Curator's Reception at the Canadian Automotive Museum. Glad to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for investing in Oshawa, & to recognize museum milestones & special acquisitions. A great night! @CanAutoMuse@ONTrillium
My husband Jon is retiring! I look forward to sharing in your next adventures, as you begin your next era! Congratulations on your retirement! XO

People who rely on OW & ODSP are kept in poverty, & minor increases don't make a dent in the rising costs all around them. Social assistance rates need to be doubled so that people can afford to live with dignity. Folks are calling on this govt to care! https://t.co/4zHpCWlOgm
June 10th is #WorldFranchiseDay. Franchise businesses are recognizable favourites across communities. Glad to enjoy some of our delicious local favourites, & appreciate the jobs they provide - Get to know Church's Chicken, My Roti/ My Dosa Place & Smoke's Poutinerie in Oshawa!
As Ontario's member of @GLLCaucus, I was glad to join the annual conference of the @GLSLcities, in Hamilton. Folks from across the basin gathered to learn & share about how to protect & improve the Great Lakes & the Fresh Coast Economic Corridor.
We are less safe now than when Doug Ford took office. Courts are backlogged, the opioid crisis has reached every part of the province, & the govt is losing prisoners. Bill 119 is damage control. I was glad to add to the conversation about justice & safety.

The @OntarioNDP proposed that the Govt of Ontario should establish a comprehensive Youth Summer Jobs Program so every young person under 30 who wants to work can access meaningful, paid employment or training opportunities in their community.
Wish they hadn't voted it down...
Workers in Oshawa have been locked out, & there are many public service workers on strike across communities. Will the Premier pony up the wages that HIS govt withheld so that these workers can get back to the work they want to be doing? @OPSEU https://t.co/J0nrU3aD9F
It is National AccessAbility Week, when we pledge to come together to support & show solidarity for persons & familes of those living with disabilities. Thank you, @EasterSealON for being such an important force for change & inclusivity! #RedShirtDay#RedForAccessAbility
The lovely tea to celebrate Mother's Day & the special women in our lives was a beautiful event to raise money for the Durham Rape Crisis Centre. I was pleased to join @ElizabethJRoy in Whitby to recognize the vital work done by the team at #DRCC every day.
Congratulations to Unifor Dental on their 50th anniversary! The party brought together current & past board members, staff, patients, & community partners to mark 5 decades of service to our community! 50 years is definitely something to smile about! Congratulations!
Congratulations to the Denise House for securing Trillium funds for trauma-informed training for all staff. The work that the Denise House does to keep women safe is remarkable. Thank you, OTF & thank you to the Denise House for all of their important work everyday! #endIPV
It was a cold & blustery day in Oshawa for the Oshawa Garden Club Annual Plant Sale - but they were selling out fast & neighbours & gardeners braved the weather! It was also the annual plant sale run by the students at G.L.Roberts in the horticulture program.
A perfect day to raise the flag of Portugal at Oshawa City Hall to mark the anniversary of Portuguese immigration to Canada. We are fortunate in Oshawa to have the Oshawa Portuguese Club & the Northern Portugal Cultural Centre to share their culture and story with Oshawa.
Another Bill & another chance Ford didn't take to ensure the housing supply we need. The HST rebate should have been in the Budget - but they forgot to put it in w all the excitement about gutting the FOI law... #Bill114

Workers at Murray McKinnon House in Oshawa got locked out of their jobs! This Ford govt has refused to pay back Bill 124 stolen wages, & Ford won't put enough money into community public services for workers to do their jobs safely, or be paid fairly. @OPSEU#WorthFightingFor
