Crazy how ruthlessly the self-proclaimed “girl’s girls” are attacking this when she:
1-doesn’t blame girls, says she’s just awkward.
2-doesn’t say male friendships are better.
Just goes to show how paper thin “girl’s girl” is—no solidarity if you’re not the right kind of woman!
@ephemerealities@goo_bers@zunzetrider Yep. I think the part that can make them hereditary is that a lot of those types of behaviors are passed down also. Not saying if you’re abused or neglect you will do the same to the next, BUT the chances are higher if that is what you know and are conditioned into.
@fw_naetoblaq Soooo uh. I do take melatonin but I also take about 20 other meds. Benedryl (have a skin allergy) along w/other med for anxiety that helps sleep, and ashawanada or whatever it is. I also walk for about 2 hours prior to bed time. After all that I’m able to get to bed around 11 😭
@ibeonherelying The OPs take is wild because it’s def a body shape thing. If you have a defined waist (specifically an hourglass but even a small pear shape) and are smaller this type of bikini style looks fine.
@SorchaLFC@GreatLakesSnail@insiininsiima It’s a journey. And it’s hard because If your hips get too small even with a defined waist your shoulders don’t lol. Then you’re an inverted triangle stage. It’s all a thing. And it’s difficult esp when we are told one thing is “better” than the other.
@GreatLakesSnail@SorchaLFC@insiininsiima@buschlitebaddie Right! I have actually gone from one shape to another because of my broader shoulders. But I was a bigger girl-. I have a smaller chest but a defined waist still. So I’ve been told a bunch of that too. Try and show the defined waist-. Hide the wide hips - and I’m tall…
@insiininsiima@buschlitebaddie Technically even an hourglass is a shape that they say you have to emphasize some parts and de emphasize others. When they speak on women’s bodies, it’s always this way.
People treat ED spaces like some quirky little community to join for fun, then get shocked or offended when people who are actually suffering show real symptoms and behaviors of an actual eating disorder.
@raefordays@etherealskinny The only time I have felt this was useful is if I’m worried about a binge…so I just buy the smaller bag instead of the family
Bag or whatever. But that’s prob the ED talking alittle more than anything.
