Quick timeline of the takes surrounding Lakers-Rockets, with a prediction on tomorrow’s.
April 17th: “The Lakers have NO chance. They’ll be lucky not to be swept.”
April 20th: “If LeBron pulls this off I’ll call him the GOAT.”
April 22nd: “The Rockets are frauds!”
April 25th: “The Rockets are the dumbest team I’ve ever seen! Anyone would beat them!”
April 30th: “The Lakers are cooked & LeBron is exhausted. Rockets in 7.”
May 1st: “LeBron is going to blow a 3-0 lead & his GOAT case is over!”
May 2nd: “Yeah, the Lakers won, but it’s actually not that impressive, the Rockets were pretenders.”
Every questionable officiating moment from Suns vs. Thunder Game 2:
1. Oso Ighodaro called for a foul boxing out Chet Holmgren.
2. Khaman Maluach called for an offensive foul on Isaiah Hartenstein.
3. Devin Booker called for an offensive foul on Alex Caruso. Suns challenge is unsuccessful due to “unnatural shooting motion.” On the next possession, SGA draws free throws on a similar play.
4. Jalen Green called for a foul boxing out Lu Dort.
5. Dillon Brooks assessed a technical while attempting to retrieve the ball from Lu Dort.
6. No call on SGA’s push-off drive on Collin Gillespie.
7. Royce O’Neale called for an offensive foul on a screen involving Ajay Mitchell.
8. Devin Booker assessed a technical after accidentally hitting Jaylin Williams’ arm while saving the ball from going out of bounds.
9. Dillon Brooks called for a foul defending SGA.
It’s been a totally surreal 7 year run.
5 Super Bowl trips, 3 Rings, played in the Conference Championship game every single year.
Everything caught up with them this year & they just didn’t have it.
No shame in that, just is what it is.
Now we just pray Patrick is OK.

This is just about the fakest, most scripted two-play sequence I’ve ever seen. First, with NO ONE else around and two blockers, number 11 for the Broncos manages to run into a one-armed tackle by Stokes! Herbstreit is ready with Stokes’s scouting report including body measurements.
Then, on 3rd and 1, the Broncos (coached by offensive guru Sean Payton) run a deep drop pass where no one decides to block. Eventually Nix throws it to an open guy who proceeds to whoopsie the pass.
Completely scripted for +9 Raiders.
