He might relocate or return so we'll keep an eye out for him but otherwise the traffic cones and street signs of Tasmania can breathe a small sigh of relief.

Good morning everyone.

The Boag's Brewery site holds a special place in Tasmanians’ hearts.

And we wont allow it to sit idle.

So, today we’re announcing that work has begun on a targeted economic plan for Northern Tasmania.

Finding a new future for the site is just one part of it.
But it’s also about more jobs and new opportunities.

We’ll bring together all the key players across the community.

Because the best ideas come from the people who know the region best.

The Plan will build on the momentum already underway.

Projects like the Launceston Heart Centre.

Upgrades to UTAS Stadium and the Silverdome.

And upgrades to the East and West Tamar Highways.

There’s a lot already being done.

But there’s more to do.

Northern Tasmania is at the heart of our state’s success.

And we are backing it all the way.

Good morning everyone, Cabinet changes for the Tasmanian Government will be as follows.

Deputy Premier Guy Barnett will take on the Environment and Climate Change portfolio, bringing significant experience and a clear commitment to the portfolio.

Minister for Parks, Nick Duigan, will add Heritage to his portfolio.

Jane Howlett will become Minister for Arts and Minister for Community and Multicultural Affairs. Minister Howlett will also lead the Tourism, Events and Creative entity.

Felix Ellis has been appointed Minister for Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy, complementing his existing portfolios that support skills, jobs and the artificial intelligence revolution.

Marcus Vermey will become Parliamentary Secretary of Small Business and Community and Multicultural Affairs.

The reduction of a Minister, along with staffing and overhead changes, will result in savings of over $1 million.

The world and our nation are facing turbulent times.

We will remain focussed on keeping our economy strong and supporting a caring community.

Almost 50 Tasmanian GPs have entered training so they can diagnose, prescribe and manage ADHD.

Services will become available for Tasmanians over the next month.

Today, Tasmania is announcing the most comprehensive package of actions against family violence in decades, including more protection for victims and new fines for perpetrators.

In Tasmania, we are proud to have champions like Chris Symonds who openly share their battles with this horrible disease.

Tasmania will be investing $831,000 into MND research and support, in honour of Neale and the scores of Tasmanians who bravely face MND each and every day.
