Canada is the only major fertilizer producing jurisdiction outside of the EU with a direct price on carbon. Between 2025-2030 under the Liberal industrial carbon tax scheme, the Canadian fertilizer production sector will face up to $1.32 billion in cumulative carbon tax costs on both direct emissions when producing fertilizer and on inputs like power and energy.

Not only has Mark Carney made potash exports uncompetitive with his industrial carbon tax but be has inflated fertilizer imports for our farmers with 15% tariffs.

These taxes cause real consequences to Canadian industries.

I think everyone can agree that more trade with democratic countries around the world is a good thing.

We have strong ties to Europe thanks to Stephen Harper. Although with CETA, 10 more European countries still need to approve the deal. Let's focus on resolving that first.

Other decisions of whether or not to pursue any status with the European Union should be for Canada's Parliament to make after robust debate and thorough study, and quite frankly after voters go to the ballot box.

With no definition of what an "associate member" is, though, Canadians are left in the dark right now, wondering about what it means.

The PMO and even Mark Carney himself denied seeking associate member status, saying the Wall Street Journal article was wrong. Yet here is the EU President publicly contradicting those claims while Mark Carney excitedly smiles and claps. So, which is it?

Where's the respect and transparency that Canadians deserve about our own country's future?

The Prime Minister can’t seem to get his story straight about the “associate membership,” “unique alliance,” or whatever else he is negotiating with the EU.

Conservatives are clear: we support the decades-old free trade & NATO defence alliance with Europe.

A new C.D. Howe Institute report finds that the Major Projects Office fails to address the political decisions, unclear rules and regulatory barriers responsible for delays.

The Prime Minister promised to 'build at speeds not seen in generations,' yet all Canadians received was another layer of bureaucracy on top of an already lengthy, complex process. Until these roadblocks are removed, the MPO will not deliver the speed or certainty Canada needs.

“COMPASSION SHOULD NEVER BE CONTROVERSIAL”

In his closing statement, MP Dean Allison reflected on one of the most fundamental responsibilities of elected representatives: to listen.

He asked a simple but important question: If we can listen to people’s stories privately, why can’t we listen to them publicly?

Dean thanked, above all, the witnesses and expert witnesses who came forward, along with their families and support people who helped them get to this point. He also expressed his gratitude to his wife, Rebecca; the Members of Parliament who attended; the Parliament staff who worked behind the scenes; the independent journalists and media who covered the proceedings; and the citizens whose support made the Inquiry possible.

But the question now is: Where do we go from here?

We must keep the conversation going. We must continue asking questions. We must encourage legislators to step forward and challenge government to be transparent and accountable.

And we must resist censorship. Every Canadian has a right to know the truth.

The Allison Inquiry may be coming to an end, but the conversation does not have to.

Compassion should never be controversial.

“We need to see the deal. What’s the deal?”

Carney “had accepted that there was going to be a deal,” told premiers to put American liquor back on shelves and buy U.S. goods, then “about 90 minutes before the deadline, he decided to change his mind.”
“All we’ve seen is changing stories.” He also flipped on Gordie Howe Bridge tolls

“The only way Canadians will ever know what deal we might have had… is if we just release the deal.”

On Google renaming Lake Ontario “Lake America” for U.S. users:
“Google’s made a mistake. Google is wrong. Google should restore the name to what it always was and what it is, always will be. It is Lake Ontario. It is Lake Ontario today and it will be Lake Ontario always.”

What he would have done differently:
Liberals made “six or seven preemptive concessions before they even got to the negotiating table. You never make concessions before the negotiations begin. You hold your leverage close to your chest.”

His leverage list:
* Critical minerals (10 of 12 NATO-defined military minerals; enough refined cobalt for 75,000 F-35s; tungsten, gallium)
* Oil in a “gigantic reserve” available to tariff-free partners
* Military purchases tied to tariff-free access
* Canada as the biggest buyer from ~25 U.S. states
