This kawpdate addresses a bug that was discovered in one of Ravencoin’s forked code projects.
The bug concerns Ravencoin assets and not RVN itself. So exchanges that only trade RVN are not affected.
This update contains a BIP9 soft fork at 70%. With an expiration of 1 year.
Miners are encouraged to update. Source code will be released at a later point in time.
Fix was addressed by developer hans-schmidt.
Kind regards,

I’m at a crossroads. Ravennodes needs security updates and updates to fix memory issues. Also, @Ravencoin electrum needs updating because it’s not compatible anymore with the latest version of ledger firmware. ~3 days work.
I don’t have free time anymore to do these things. :(
The community wrote the required Rosetta bridge software.
The project has been submitted.
There was no pre-mine. RVN is as close to Bitcoin’s immaculate conception as is possible. No coins started a treasury, to developers, or VCs. RVN were mined or bought.
The project is proof-of-work so that nobody started with a bucket of coins. All have been mined or purchased.
Ravencoin has been listed on other exchanges. It has been submitted to Coinbase twice. It has higher trading volume than most other @coinbase listed projects.
Please prioritize listing of RVN.
#BitMart will list Ravencoin (RVN) @Ravencoin 🔥
Ravencoin is a digital peer-to-peer network designed to implement a use case specific blockchain and to effectively handle a specific function: transferring assets from one party to another. Ravencoin is built on the branch of bitcoin code and started on January 3, 2018. It is an open source project (without ICO or masternodes). It focuses on building useful technologies with strong and evolving communities.

I’m getting so tired of all the hypocritical bullshit.
Too many people blaming others for the garbage in their own backyard.
Nobody is perfect. Embrace it, overcome your differences and work together.
The us-vs-them mentality is bad for everyone.
Many people have not heard of Ravencoin. Look into it. It's quite interesting. It's not some "scam coin" or some "pump and dump". It's a REAL project created by good people, just like Litecoin.
You are able to list a non security and clearly a code fork of Bitcoin with no fundraise, no premine and no centralized operations is absolutely not a security. Others saw this ages ago.
You need a system where a truly cypherpunk and decentralized project can be listed.
It’s more than about “what they can list”. Coinbase has listed many dubious centralized meme coins with low volume while ignoring actual cypherpunk projects for years.
RVN has high volume, has been around for many years and is a code fork of Bitcoin with zero fundraise or premine or centralization. It’s clearly not a security — it’s the identical issuance structure as Litecoin. It’s more decentralized and more clearly not a security than 99% of other projects.
The frustrating thing is that a truly decentralized fair launch, POW project with no premine, leadership or central control is left out in the cold in favor of fly by night meme coins because they spent money from their centralized coffers on lawyers and marketing and end up in the “in club” with insiders who help them get listed.
Our all volunteer unpaid team has spent hundreds of hours on this for seven years now.
Can you or anyone at Coinbase take 60 seconds after all these years and explain why the project isn’t listed after all this time?
@MangoFarmAssets@RavenRickGrime1 Researchers in many different fields funded by the public can’t publicly communicate their findings.
Their academic freedom is being taken away.
I need to get this off my chest though.
I thought you guys were anti censorship...
Researchers aren’t even allowed anymore to provide help on their public forums for open source software.

@PatrickByrne Give me a reason to change it to a raven. The coin is solid and we own 120 million of them. But need it to be more functional and adoptable
