@NwagbaraIzuchuk@TLJuvet I didn't equate in spirit to tongues. The text clearly does in this context. And yes, those who don't pray in tongues can pray in truth... praying in understanding doesn't make our prayer less effective. I believe the two truths can coexist.
@NwagbaraIzuchuk@TLJuvet I don't think this distinction makes any difference. Clearly, the utterance being made by the one who prayed in or by the spirit is not understood by other worshippers(vs 16). Semantics aside, the context is clear.
@NwagbaraIzuchuk@TLJuvet In Corinth, Paul is clearly used 'in the spirit and in tongues' interchangeably, and by the context, it implies utterances undiscernible by the human mind. I don't think we should lump the expression 'in the spirit' as used here in definitive terms with the usage elsewhere.
Our children are not safe in their ancestral home. Every night , adult and children are being slaughtered in different communities the middle belt by Fulani bandits that are bent on taking our our land.
And our leaders are silent.
Enough is enough ๐ญ

In his death, sins were paid for. In his resurrection, our justification was proven and made obvious. Consequently, the sinful man became the old man, and the sinless man became the new man. What an exchange!
@ThePChris Hebrews 6:10
[10]For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Do you think the demeanor of the current crop of MOGs is unorthodox and excessive? Wait for the set of protรฉgรฉs they are raising and teaching ministry.
