My baby girl graduated last week and my heart aches with pride 🥹🤍🎓

To my Honorcita - It feels like yesterday I was holding you in my arms, and in the blink of an eye, you’re standing here ready for your next chapter. When I close my eyes, I can still see the little girl who wanted one more bedtime song, one more story, and endless cuddles. And now, you’re graduating.

Honor, what I’ve always admired most about you is that you’ve never been afraid to be exactly who you are. You never followed the crowd, never settled for who others expected you to be, and never stopped chasing what felt true to you. You move through the world with conviction, curiosity, kindness, and a courage that inspires everyone around you.

Watching you grow into the young woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To say I’m proud of you is an understatement.

Time is fleeting. Time is sacred. And every moment of being your mom has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Another trip around the sun - and somehow softer, stronger, more myself than I've ever been 💫

This past year was a beautiful one. The kind that stretches you in all the right ways, opens you up, and shows you just how much love and light you're surrounded by. I'm walking into this next year with more grace, more joy, more gratitude, and a deeper love for the people who make my life mine.

Yesterday was bigger than a performance.
It was Dignity. Inclusion. Unity. Representation. And Love.

Benito ‘Bad Bunny’ tells stories rooted in his culture, his people, and his truth - and yesterday, those stories were centered on one of the biggest stages in the world. Watching him honor the diversity of our community gave me full body chills and was so emotional. Some of the most meaningful moments don’t need explanation or translation - you just feel them.

For me, yesterday was about joy - fully living inside it.
Because when culture is honored instead of erased, when people are seen instead of sidelined, we become one.

Last week, our @Honest fam gathered to celebrate #Juneteenth 🖤 As of last 2021, June 19th officially became recognized as a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. In honor of this momentous day in history, Honest's B.L.A.C (Black Leadership, Allie's + Community) employee-led resource group hosted their 2nd annual block party at Honest HQ 🥳🎊 We invited a handful of black-owned businesses to join and it was a day of joy, culture and empowerment 🙏🏽 Between old & new friends, so much yummy food, sweet treats, the cutest clothes + accessories - everyone showed up and showed out 💯🥰 While recognizing this day is a major historical stride in the right direction, there is still so much more work to be done. Please join our Honest team as we encourage everyone to take today to celebrate Black culture and excellence - and to reflect, educate and discuss our country’s past, present and future 🖤💫
