Our beloved TOUCHDOWN is headed on sabbatical 🐆
After supporting us for the last 31 seasons, TOUCHDOWN is moving to a temporary location for his safety and will return to his permanent home at the Stadium of the Future in August 2028!
The Montana Plan offers a practical, lawful solution to tackle one of the biggest issues underlying everything else we care about: reclaiming democratic control and putting power back in the hands of regular people, not special interests.
Voters in Montana have an important opportunity this year to stand up to absurd amounts of corporate money being spent to distort their elections. I’m encouraging everyone in the state to back this state initiative - and for those of us across the country to support efforts like this to make our government and elected officials more accountable to the people they're meant to serve.
@doonerjax@POTUS What? There are tons of states without a D 😂.
Some states just vote for the preferred candidate, & so be it. The Rs aren’t competitive in MA, & Ds aren’t competitive in Idaho. But that’s not this. This is drawing out members & creating seats specifically to help a party.
I just don’t like this. It’s not OK to have politicians pick their constituents; it must be the other way around.
I wish TX didn’t start this, I wish @POTUS didn’t goad them & others. We need independent redistricting commissions in every state. It’s the way to end this madness
We need redraws in Colorado, Maine, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, Minnesota, Oregon, and New York.
The only way to get a national gerrymandering ban is for us to respond seat-for-seat.
@AGGancarski Hence why I believe more will force them to evolve. As for megadonors, Montana will hopefully show us the way to put a lid on them.
And one day when citizens united gets overturned or a constitutional amendment. Either would be applauded coast to coast
@AGGancarski The way to strengthen both parties & give citizens more input into their govt is to accept 2-party systems just can’t respond to everything that people need. I love my Party, but it became a force when it grew after adding the Progressive (Bull Moose) party planks.
@AGGancarski Amendments are a tough thing to repeal! Also… God no.
But there is no constitutional limit on the House, or how elections occur. Ranked choice or a set of House members elected proportionally is another way to open up the political process to more people & parties
In response to @SenatorOsgood’s question of how the maps comply with the Fair Districts requirements of Florida’s constitution, Mr. Jazil simply responded…we “don’t need to comply”.
THEY DON’T THINK THEY HAVE TO COMPLY WITH THE LAW.
Unprecedented in Florida:
✅a mid-decade congressional redistricting special session convened by gubernatorial fiat —not the courts
✅24 hours before start time: legislators havent even seen the maps, drafted secretly by Team DeSantis, they plan to rubber stamp

While there are so many questions including how the gunman got so close, the violence in this country directed at politicians, media, the President, etc, is out of control, and needs to stop.
Politics was built to PREVENT violence. As a way for us to manage disagreement. This must STOP
@DatDuvalDude The boring elected in me will tell you that this feels like a massive insurance liability & will get dulled by the sun unless heavily supported.
I’d rather see us invest in completing the @GroundworkJax project & expanding our riverwalk so anyone can enjoy any day of the year
