It's OK for men to open up and show vulnerability, even when we persevere in the face of adversity. There will be those who mock us for it and/or show their double standards, especially from those who only claim to support men's mental health without showing it.
But know that you still matter, even when others don't see it. Look at me, I'm trying to maintain a balance between my IRL job and working on my passions outside of it. The job is physically and creatively draining at times (I nap after my shifts are done), but when I have something big going on, I still strut onwards to my goals.
Know that you're not alone in what you're facing. Open up truthfully and never give up on yourself. You are still loved. Keep on keeping on!
I had a chance to briefly chat with Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung Tae about Stellar Blade: Blood Rain.
Over the past few days thereโs been a lot of talk about Evie and her age. From our conversation, I could tell she is around the 23-25 year old age range. ๐ So yes, she IS an adult.
Some people are saying that the discourse on YouTube doesn't matter for the new game, Stellar Blade Blood Rain.
But YouTube is actually one of the best metrics for assessing whether the product-IP will do well. If you look at the dislike ratio and use sentiment analysis on the aggregate comments, it's a good indicator of whether it will succeed or not.
Every time the dislike ratio exceeds 30% with a plurality of comments being negative, the product fails commercially. Less than that, with the majority of positive comments, or if the comments are based on niche ideological reasons, such as feminism or anti gooner, then the product does well.
Here, the dislike ratio is 10% for Blood Rain. A little high, but the comments are almost all positive, so the dislikes probably come from the niche Reddit community that thinks that she looks like a child. Generally well within the range where we can predict that the product will do well, assuming that the game delivers on the gameplay, story, and fun.
Compared to that, the failed game Highguard had a dislike ratio of over 90%, with the vast majority of the comments being negative, calling it Concord 2. It stood no chance.
Data matters, and when you are stuck in an echo chamber on X, Blusky, or Reddit because of muting and blocking critics, you end up with a skewed view of what's real.
