@conciliumCCCXXV @CossmanTodd@matthewpao1@AngAesthetics@AngAesthetics is salty that I don't think it's worth my time to debate him, and so he repeatedly accuses me of acting in bad faith, and acts like (when I respond to more popular Protestants) I must have nefarious motives.
@conciliumCCCXXV @CossmanTodd@matthewpao1@AngAesthetics I debated James White because Jeremiah Nortier was scrambling to find someone willing to debate him on short notice, & because he's a big name in the Protestant world (particularly in the middle part of the country in which I live), & I knew of his reputation as a good debater.
@AstridMariaR @catholiccom Was there a particular claim you wanted addressed? I wrote a response to Br. Bugnolo back in 2020. Someone in the comments raised Barnhardt's objections (which are incompatible with Bugnolo's), to which I responded in the comments.

@Barley_Jones @catholiccom I think it's actually pretty amazing, once you know the Jewish background, what it reveals about Mary and her perpetual virginity and their marriage.... and what Jesus is saying at the last supper about the church.
@FaeryQueene73 @catholiccom There WOULD be a scandal if people knew Joseph wasn't the father. One of the points I was trying to make is that there *wasn't* a scandal bc people assumed that he WAS the father.
@Adorsril@catholiccom We help people spiritually and materially (the latter better than any secular government or organization). If you reject the spiritual good AND say that "beyond [charity], the Church does very little to help people,' what's left? What DOESN'T the Church provide?
@Adorsril@catholiccom As a rule, we tend to provide these goods and services better than do secular governments and NGOs and for less money, because the people doing so often take major salary cuts compared to what they could get on the open market... and are driven by religious charity, etc.
Look at what came in the mail from @WordOnFire! A solid translation of the Gospels (RSV:CE), coupled with commentary from @BishopBarron and the Church Fathers! I've only just opened it, but it looks great!

"But here’s what I don’t understand. Where are all of the emergency responses to the crisis, much larger in both scope and severity, of people receiving the Eucharist unworthily?
So... the word #Quarantine is from quadraginta ("forty days"), and it's the basis for the word for #Lent in Latin (Quadragesima) Old English (Quarentyne), Spanish (Cuaresma), French (Carême), and Italian (Quaresima).
Are you letting your quarantine be a true Quadragesima?
In a single sentence, @CNN distinguishes "a fetus that was born" from "a newborn baby." At this point, we're not even debating about protecting life in the womb - we're literally onto dehumanizing babies after they're already born.

@AtheistWeirdo @WordOnFire Did you read the piece? Because natural selection (which I believe in, ftr) doesn't even remotely explain beauty, and I actually addressed that potential objection in some length.
All I'm saying is that if this turns out to be another one of those Groundhog Days where I wake up tomorrow and get to relive today, I'll be okay with that. #CHIEFS
