As part of our learning, 3rd grade started exploring how forms of energy, forces and motion, and simple machines can be applied in real-life scenarios, specifically through the creation of Rube Goldberg Machines.
Our amazing 3rd grade scholars used the Jigsaw method to research and present to their classmates on one of the four types of natural features found on the Earth.
Our scholars researched about the millions of people in the world who use solar ovens because they don’t have access to electricity. They also used their science knowledge about properties of matter and changes in state to create their own effective solar oven to melt chocolate.
3rd ASPIRE are using team building strategies in science to design and create an aluminum boat that can hold the most amount of marbles without sinking.
This year marks my 9th year of teaching! I am transitioning back into the elementary classroom. I will be teaching 3rd grade science and social studies this year and I'm very excited. Please help support my classroom.
