At the height of his powers in spring 1913, Colt designed Old Elm, his U.S. masterpiece, over 9 days. It has now been exquisitely restored. He spent 3 days at Indian Hill, and like he did 3 weeks later at Pine Valley, solved the routing dilemmas and refined the architecture.
1913 was a particularly good year for Harry Colt… in addition to his work @StGeorgesHillGC he was busy collaborating with JF Abercromby @TheAddingtonGC

He also made a wee visit to America and helped solve the conundrum of routing at Pine Valley.

Decent year all in all…
Wish CBS Golf might consider showing us the cut line scoreboard once in awhile! They have been telling us about that race but they aren't giving us any drama or information! @CBS@CBSSports@CBSGolf
It's predicted teens will gain 1.1 million jobs in 2023, slightly lower than last year’s gains, & the lowest since 2011. SVP @AndyChallengeHR - "Amusement parks, pools, restaurants, & summer entertainment venues most certainly have needs." For job tips: https://t.co/JR0s8vCrQq
@hscoltsociety @evalu18golf@oxfordgolfcons Not sure what the remodel was that Darwin referred to. Wondering what newspaper was this reference in? I only know of two courses Colt worked on in 1911. First, Detroit CC and then Toronto GC. Seems likely that a remodel would have been in one of these two locations.
@cdpgolf1@TheAddingtonGC What a beautiful monument and link to 1809 and George III. Would historical preservationists allow this to be cleaned, moved and translated for all golfers passing by to see?
@Hainesy76 We are excited CDP is going to help us restore Indian Hill Club's golf course to its architectural roots. H.S. Colt was here in the spring of 1913 just after Old Elm Club and just before Pine Valley. I am seeking all historical material from the 1913 - 1935 collectors might have.
@pgahistorybug Off subject but not much of a twitter user. Listening to your pod on Tillinghast. Have the diaries been digitized yet so that clubs can read what he wrote about their golf courses?
@SProctorGolf Other than due to injury or emotions, are there any premier athletes in the last 50 years who retired early like BJ? Today, it's the opposite - Tom Brady. Maybe it wasn't the cage of competition but pressure from the 1930 social cage of amateur vs professional that forced him out

When the hatch or a door is ajar, it's easy to back into a garage or other object and do significant damage. Why not have a software option preventing car movement? It would save loyal advocates thousands of dollars in repair costs an wait. @tesla@elonmusk
