The Original Captain Marvel. As much as I enjoy his Shazam! exploits in the '70s and beyond...he never really recaptured the magic.
He was lifted from Fawcett in the '50s, plopped into DC's Bronze Age but never got a chance to properly evolve by continued publication through the Silver Age (unless you count Marvelman in the U.K.).
How would he, his Family and comics in general have been different? Guess we'll never know.
And what's a night at Day Air without Heater, the return of the Retirement Village People, a between-innings game of leapfrog with Madison on the call, the Magic of Gem, a virtual race against Billy Hamilton, the 2026 Green Team...and even Blaze?
Not nearly as fun, that's what it is!
Thursday night, we went back to the Minors to watch the Dragons take on the top team in our division, the Great Lakes Loons, and saw our first win by the home team at Day Air Ballpark this season!
Looking back at my last seven days, it seemed we were just missing Mel Allen saying "How 'Bout That?"
Started in Cincinnati on Wednesday where players dream of finishing their careers...the Hall of Fame!
We are heartbroken to share the passing of our founder and CEO, Ray Wiley.
Ray built Hot Head from one Dayton restaurant into a brand with 85+ locations, guided by passion, grit and care for people.
His impact will continue to be felt for years to come. Thank you, Ray.
Didnβt have time to post about Mom's birthday yesterday, because we were busy celebrating it at Great American Ball Park with our first Reds game since at least 2019.
Fun night, even though they lost. Here are some pre-game pictures.
