@James09959617@NewstalkFM They'd love that alright. Agree it should have been scrapped once both sides paid for - instead it goes up nonstop. Not even run properly, it's a mess.
@James09959617@NewstalkFM I agree they took the piss there but it was financed by the EU and no shouldn't pay for all parts of it, even though I live there and subsequently pay way more
@NewstalkFM@markcummins1 And that laughable voluntary speed nonsense has only made it worse. People cruising along at 90 and they see a 'suggested' speed of 60. Hard to think of a bigger waste of time than that except that tourists will do it and delay everyone else
@NewstalkFM@markcummins1 The simplest way to maximise flow is to make lane changes illegal for skipping heavy traffic and use cameras to record and fine people who lane skip. Capacity is not the issue, it's badly run. Simply put you must remain in your correct lane unless leaving the motorway.
@NewstalkFM@markcummins1 Everyone who hops into a different lane causes someone to hit the brakes and by the butterfly effect it ends up in chaos ten km back. What if we enforced correct etiquette and let it all just flow.
@Conorwhelanire@dublin_damo They often move from 12th Lock down to near Leixlip. Not so often towards town but have seen them do it. You can actually do a canal trip from the 12th Lock through the Deep Sinkings. It's fascinating. Well worth it.
@IrishRail Why did the return say it was on time til everyone got to the station then suddenly jump to 17 mins delays with a minute to go before departure?
