The last two weeks I helped my advisory at @CMSLakeville participate in #13ActsForCap. Each day we chose a way to spread kindness to staff or students. Was awesome to see how excited my students were to share kindness with others while honoring an amazing young man. #CapStrong

Last week, Mr. Scheevel’s health classes used tug-of-war with uneven teams as an analogy to learn about addiction, including the strong pull and power addiction has and the importance of asking for and offering help.
Talked about the power of positive self talk and positive affirmations on our mental health last week in #healthed. Excited to get up my #affirmationstation after school today and see students start using it tomorrow! Thanks @MrsMarcouxRocks and @MsHealthEd for the inspiration!
@CoachMatheson There is one at Faribault Middle where I taught previously. Was an amazing asset to our PE program. It was there before I was hired but I believe they had corporate sponsors from the community help pay for it.
Last week, 7th graders in Mr. Scheevel's health classes started their Safety unit. Students practiced CPR on dummies and worked on first aid skills like making and sling and splinting a wound!
