Formative Action: A brilliant, refreshing take on formative assessment and responsive teaching. This idea from the @toetsrevolutie team is superb and well worth exploring if you haven't done before. https://t.co/dsjniR4f2z
@RogersHistory If a teacher is employed at a school, they accept the professional obligation to improve. The HT has an obligation to provide the structures to support their improvement. The HT cannot leave it to chance, or to the teacher to choose to improve or not. There cannot be a choice.
@RogersHistory But how can a good coach in a culturally safe school help someone improve if they cannot see the teacher teach? We can ALL improve our teaching. If you think you're the perfect teacher and don't need a coach to support you to improve, then there's a problem with that, I think.
A vision for teaching English
It was a pleasure and a privilege to serve as lead drafter for Northern Ireland’s English and Drama curriculum framework. I’m proud of what’s been created, grateful to the brilliant Subject Working Group, and hopeful it will have a powerful, positive impact on the teaching of English across Northern Ireland. https://t.co/Zh3X85UydJ
