The last group of 1st grade students helped keep our parks clean by picking up litter at Oneota and the High School baseball and softball fields! Thank you to Bree from Clay County Conservation Board for leading this awesome project!

Mrs. Griffin's 1st grade students and Mr. Muilenburg's 8th grade students have been pen pals this school year when they met each other the 1st graders read a story they had written. They shared a snack and played a game of freeze tag. What a great experience for all involved!!
1st grade students spent some time with Bree from Clay County Conservation Board learning about frogs and the different sounds they make! That first heard the frog sounds and then used everyday objects such as combs, rubberbands and bells to simulate these sounds!
Kindergarten students were surprised at recess by Bree with Clay County Conservation Board and the trumpeter swan. They were able to pet him, if they chose to, and learned some about his story!

Thank you to Sam from Spencer Family YMCA for sharing the book "No Swimming for Nelly" with students at Johnson School. The book ties in with their Swimming Safety lessons! The students will also get to have a swimming safety day at the YMCA!
KinderKids and Kindergarten students shared their habitat projects! They transformed their classrooms into their habitats and shared their individual projects. They used Seesaw and recorded messages about their animals that could be scanned and listened to in the classroom!
1st grade students spent their afternoon cleaning up Pederson Park! They also enjoyed a picnic lunch with their special guests and got to play some fun games! Thanks to Bree at Clay County Conservation Board for organizing this clean up way!
Part 3: Babies 👶🍼 & Adults 👵👴👩🧑& Kids 👩👩👧👧, oh my! Rooms & halls were filled for an afternoon of Ss showing off their work via QR codes, written info & hand-crafted 🐵🐯🦁🦓🐺🐂animals🐄🐿️🐇🐏🐭🦒 in their habitat. Kudos to K staff @JohnsonTigers ! @TerryHemann1@W_Dible
Part 2: This afternoon Ss get to visit all of the habitats 🦉🦍🦎🐧🐺🐹🐴🦒🐾🐯🐐🦆🐸🐍🐋 in each of the rooms and parents/visitors get to stop in, too! QR codes with info. written by Ss were part of their informative writing unit! @W_Dible#CatchingExcellenceInSCSD
