@JoinColumn

An online member's club for the smartest, most interesting, most informationally-valuable people.

At Column, we literally measure this via user surveys. We've generated $25M of value so far, but more remarkably: no reported negative effects yet.

X would likely have both high positive and high negative effects. @joincolumn exists to show it can be done without the negative effects.

The value of an X account can be measured by what doors it opens for you in real life.

the next social network is a prediction market where your feed is ranked by accuracy not engagement. the person who is right 80% of the time gets seen while the person who is loud gets buried

[@JoinColumn @joincolumn]

@thenarrator This is @joincolumn, but you also have to apply to join and pass a minimum threshold of being interesting and informationally-valuable.

@BonannoDavid You’re just on the wrong social network—clearly you’re more of a @joincolumn person.

We're like the Met Gala, if it were open, but you got in based on how incredible your dress was.

Open but exclusive spaces preserve meritocracy.

[@JoinColumn @joincolumn]

For 4 years, we’ve run the most interesting group chats—but they were invite-only.

Today, we’re opening up the first member’s club online, where anyone can apply.

We’re gathering 2M of the world’s most interesting, informationally-valuable people in a single group chat.

X is definitely the town square.

Grifters trying to sell you things, people being mugged, homeless people peeing on the subway, prostitutes.

Absolutely nailing the town square aesthetic.

[@JoinColumn @joincolumn]

Strongly agree! But this applies to digital spaces too.
