@Delta I’m on flight D0096 to LAX and a man was racially profiled by staff after a wealthy white passenger accused him of taking his wife’s seat — Which was not true.

The white male was in seat 23C and repeatedly agitated a man of color in seat 23D across the aisle.

AND afterward the white man continued to joke about the situation with other passengers. He even continued to rationalize his behavior to flight attendants as we were taxiing.

The person of color has now been removed from the flight and will miss getting home to his 7 year old son because a white passenger was favored. The white passenger remains on the flight.

I am frankly appalled by what I saw today. Tensions were high, and flight staff ultimately did not have the full story, but they escalated the issue before gathering information and they favored the word of the white passenger who had a more “educated” way of speaking.
