UNA NUEVA ETAPA PARA EL SECTOR NUCLEAR ARGENTINO

La Secretaría de Asuntos Nucleares presenta los Lineamientos de la Política Nuclear Argentina 2026, el marco doctrinario que ordena al sector y define su horizonte estratégico.

Los Lineamientos ordenan la política nuclear nacional en torno a cuatro objetivos jerarquizados:

1. Exportaciones nucleares de alto valor agregado.
2. Seguridad energética.
3. Preservación y desarrollo de la capacidad tecnológica nacional.
4. Liderazgo regional y posicionamiento geopolítico.

La nueva Política Nuclear Argentina separa con claridad la conducción política de la operación del sector. Y, por primera vez, convoca al sector privado a invertir para potenciar cada eslabón del sector nuclear argentino, bajo un esquema que busca un circulo virtuoso en el que la CNEA aporta investigación, desarrollo y profesionales de calidad y las empresas invierten en proyectos nacionales y toman el riesgo.

Argentina domina el ciclo completo del combustible nuclear —capacidad que poseen pocos países en el mundo— y cuenta con credenciales de no proliferación intachables.

Estos lineamientos buscan convertir esa capacidad técnica en industria a escala, exportaciones sostenidas y retorno verificable para el país, consolidando un sector moderno, competitivo, transparente y fundado en resultados.

The Green New Deal Has Cost Taxpayers $20 Trillion And Could Cost $20 Trillion More

Over the past decade, Western economies have experienced slower GDP growth, persistent inflation, and a steady erosion of energy intensive manufacturing jobs. At the same time, trillions of dollars have been redirected into large scale energy transition programs under what is broadly framed as a Green New Deal approach.

When you aggregate subsidies, tax credits, grid expansion, industrial compensation packages, carbon compliance systems, premature plant closures, and embedded regulatory costs across the United States and Europe, capital exposure approaches 20 trillion dollars.

And that number may be conservative.

If electrification mandates, renewable overbuild, storage subsidies, hydrogen programs, and grid reinforcement continue at current scale, long term exposure could double.

What did this capital reallocation deliver?

• Wholesale price volatility
• Negative pricing during oversupply
• Price spikes during low wind or low solar periods
• Rising grid congestion costs
• Curtailment payments funded by ratepayers
• Growing dependence on imports
• Inflationary pressure across industrial supply chains
• Loss of energy intensive manufacturing jobs
• Structural barriers preventing new large scale manufacturing facilities

Energy systems became more complex, less predictable, and less investment friendly.

When electricity prices swing between zero and extreme highs, volatility spreads through the economy. It affects steel, chemicals, construction materials, logistics, and food processing. Volatility becomes inflation.

New manufacturing facilities require stable 20 to 40 year power agreements before committing capital. If grid access is delayed, pricing unstable, and firm capacity constrained, projects do not move forward.

In some markets, new industrial load can only connect if existing industry shuts down or relocates. That is not growth. That is capacity recycling through contraction.

Meanwhile, countries that prioritize firm generation including nuclear offer stable pricing and predictable supply. Capital moves toward energy abundance.

High regulation combined with structural price instability discourages firm generation investment, particularly nuclear. Extended licensing timelines, compliance escalation, and financing uncertainty create built in barriers to stable baseload expansion.

Energy policy is industrial policy.

The first 20 trillion dollars reshaped Western energy systems.

The next 20 trillion will determine whether those systems remain industrially competitive or continue de industrializing.
