#Litecoin is clearly the best coin for payments. The blockchain has to work, reliability is 🔑. The best of both worlds would be a #stablecoin built on the $LTC blockchain and you can have the option of sending regular LTC or a StableLTC at time of payment. #PayWithLitecoin
🚨UPDATE: @litecoin is heading to the @CantonNetwork.
The Litecoin Foundation and @greywickdigital are developing cLTC to bring LTC into institutional markets.
cLTC will use Canton’s CIP-56 token standard, with the Litecoin Foundation endorsing it as the official LTC representation for institutional applications.
Greywick Digital, with support from the @LTCFoundation, is bringing cLTC, @Litecoin issued on Canton, into institutional trading and yield workflows.
It is backed by public reserves and continuous independent verification.
Expected live by the end of 2026.

The countdown continues, there's just 300 days till the next Litecoin HALVING!
Every four years, the reward that miners receive for validating transactions on the Litecoin network gets cut in half. Around the end of July 2027 it will be dropping from 6.25 LTC to 3.125 $LTC per block. The math is built directly into Litecoin's code to control inflation and ensure a capped supply of 84 million coins ever enters circulation.

Lite Strategy FY 2026 financial results are in.
Key highlights:
- $100M deployed into LTC, holding 832,716 $LTC as of June 30, 2026, over 1% of all Litecoin ever mined, making it the largest public company holder of Litecoin
- $1.0M strategic investment led into LitVM, the first zero-knowledge Layer 2 on Litecoin
- 6.4M shares repurchased, or 17% of shares outstanding, halving the discount to NAV from 40% to the low 20%
- $930k proceeds generated from its covered call program
Closing the FY at $42.7M in total assets, with no outstanding debt
The objective for FY 2027 is continuing to grow LTC per share through active treasury management.
Digital asset treasury capital has concentrated heavily in Bitcoin, leaving one of the longest-operating and lowest cost payment networks underrepresented relative to its fifteen-year record. Regulatory clarity is closing that gap, and @LitecoinVM broadens Litecoin's utility beyond payments.
Lite Strategy offers institutional capital direct access to that opportunity, a regulated, liquid, publicly traded vehicle without the custody complexity of holding the asset. As an investor in the network itself, the Company benefits as adoption of Litecoin expands, an alignment passive vehicles cannot offer.
With a full fiscal year of operating record and no outstanding debt, the next phase is direct engagement with banking partners, analysts and allocators.
Payments. Privacy. Hard money.
⚛️ WHAT IF YOU COULD TRADE LITECOIN WITHOUT GIVING YOUR COINS TO A CENTRALIZED EXCHANGE?
That’s the idea behind an atomic swap.
Atomic swaps allow two parties to exchange assets across compatible blockchains without a trusted third party taking custody.
Using cryptographic secrets and timelocks, the swap is designed so both parties can redeem the agreed assets—or unredeemed funds have a refund path if the swap isn’t completed.
LITECOIN HAS ACTUALLY DONE THIS
On September 19, 2017, the first documented mainnet cross-chain atomic swap between Decred (DCR) and Litecoin (LTC) was completed.
This wasn’t theoretical. The open-source Decred atomic-swap project preserves the actual contract and redemption transactions.
DOES THIS ELIMINATE EXCHANGES?
Not exactly.
Atomic swaps can remove the need for a custodial intermediary during settlement, but users still need compatible software, a counterparty, liquidity, an agreed price and enough time for the required blockchain transactions.
ARE THEY USED TODAY?
Atomic swaps are technically proven, but they aren’t the standard way most people trade LTC today.
Development continues. BasicSwapDEX demonstrated cross-chain peer-to-peer atomic swaps at the 2025 Litecoin Summit, and the Litecoin Foundation has identified LTC↔BTC atomic swaps as a planned Nexus Wallet integration.
That’s the important distinction:
TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE ≠ WIDELY ADOPTED
Atomic swaps show that compatible cryptocurrencies can potentially be exchanged directly without surrendering custody to a centralized exchange during settlement.
That’s an important piece of Litecoin’s history—and potentially its future.
NEW: cbLTC is now live on @Solana via @sunrise, powered by Chainlink CCIP as @Coinbase’s exclusive cross-chain infra.
Solana users now have access to another Coinbase Wrapped Asset, which is among the $7B+ in cbAssets on CCIP.
Investors turning bullish on Litecoin...?
It's been a big year for the @Litecoin ecosystem already, with major developments around @LitecoinVM and more besides.
This traction may be starting to reflecting in investment decisions, with Canary's spot Litecoin ETF clocking +$1.73M on September 24 - The first seven figure daily inflow the product has seen since January.
Solana gets a wrapped Litecoin
Coinbase Wrapped litecoin:native, or $cbLTC, is now live and tradable on @solana through @sunrise. The token is backed by LTC that is held by Coinbase and moves across chains via Chainlink's CCIP.
@chainlink says CCIP now secures more than $7B in @coinbase wrapped assets, and cbLTC is the latest to reach Solana.
Coinbase just launched fixed-rate, fixed-term Litecoin-backed loans through @Morpho Midnight on @base.
Giving borrowers the ability to set borrowing costs and repayment dates in advance. Customers can borrow up to $100,000 against their $LTC.
