Firefighters are lining The Royal Mile awaiting the funeral cortège of their colleague Barry Martin

Firefighters who served alongside Barry Martin were part of his final journey today as a Turntable Ladder was used to carry his coffin.

Hundreds of people gathered in Edinburgh to pay their respects as the cortege made its way along the Royal Mile to St Giles’ Cathedral.
