Honestly, I think it needs something more to stand out from the sea of Pomodoro apps. Have you thought of adding a feature or art unique to it, optimised for virality?

@molaerga I feel like it doesn't capture what makes Yak different from every other journaling app. Most effective ads usually base their videos on their USP.

It might also be worth experimenting with subtler marketing.

@AryanHv I use Nano Banana Pro for the art. I found it's really good at keeping a consistent art style. The rest is just figma.

@AryanHv @RevenueCat According to @RevenueCat, freemium actually converts worse than free trial (check my latest post). Is there any reason why free trial isn't compatible with your app?

46.5% of apps now use free trials of 4 days or less. The data says they're wrong.

@RevenueCat 2026:
≤4 day trials: 25.5% convert
17-32 day trials: 42.5% convert

Shorter trials convert WORSE. Yet the industry keeps shortening them (+4.4pp last year).

How long is your free trial, and why that number?

Day 1 of building my first app!

I'm planning on creating a mascot-driven Christian parenting app. I have a bunch of cool features planned, but I'm still very much in the UI design phase. I'm hoping to learn a lot from this experience!

@molaerga Great job keep pushing! A word of advice though, I think the quality of your AI images could improve, it stills reads as obviously AI generated right now.

Have you considered UGC?
