Not everyday you get to teach the Minister of Innovation, Science & Economic Development how to pull an espresso shot.
Thank you @FP_Champagne for joining some of Calgary’s most inspiring women and liberals on International Women’sDay.
She wants us to depoliticize this, so I will try:
To all kids in Alberta, I know this is scary. Please know that there are people in your lives who love and respect you, who want the best for you.
We will never ever stop fighting for you and for your dignity. And we will win.
34 years ago today, due to cuts by the Mulroney government of 55% of the VIA subsidy, VIA Rail drastically reduced service. And has never been the same since. What Ford, Smith, Moe and other Conservative cuts will be talked about in 2050? 2024? VIA, before/after
Let's talk briefly about Postmedia and the disservice it does to its readers -- and our country.
Here's a letter they published today. Notice the obvious nonsense?
I have knocked tens of thousands of doors in Calgary. Frankly, you never know when people are baiting you, (or you’re being filmed.)
This kind of pandering is not only shocking and ignorant but reckless and tactless.
I honestly expected better from a party leader.
Say what you will about about our political leaders, but to refer to *any* Canadian Prime Minister as a Marxist not only shows a massive misunderstanding of the term but indeed is an insult to all those who have been subject to the political ideology. #cdnpoli
Félicitations au chef Walter Roos pour avoir prêté son serment de citoyenneté canadienne tout en luttant les feux de forêt de West Kelowna. Un nouveau canadien et déjà un héros! Ça c’est le mérite en action. #polcan
As her own constituents are being forced from their homes by climate-fueled fires, this Conservative MP from Kelowna wants to fan the flames by making pollution free again.
While wild fires rage across Canada, thousands evacuated from the NWT and Okanagan. Lives changed forever. Any wonder climate change is the top issue of voters?
How will conservatives keep up these gas-station pressers, raging against the carbon tax and tilting at windmills?
Northwest Territories is hosting a press conf at 7:30pm MST. (Just got bumped back from 7pm). I'll be there for you. Context: Three communities in Yellowknife are on evacuation alert because of #nwtfire; fire expected to reach Hay River tonight.
I didn’t know when I met @OmarAlghabra in 2021 that someday he’d be my boss. I’m so grateful for the incredible honour of working with such a gracious & steadfast Minister. Thank you for your faith in me and for everything you’ve done for Canada, it’s been a wonderful ride!✈️🚉🛥️
I have news to share: after a lot of reflection, I decided to not run in the next election. As a result I will be stepping aside from cabinet. I was first elected in 2006 and have had the journey of a lifetime. I’m grateful for every minute of it
We have a great candidate in Elliot, he would be an excellent voice at the table for Alberta.
Let’s #getouttovote Calgary Heritage!
VOTE this Monday, July 24, 2023!
Calgary Heritage needs a strong voice in Ottawa to fight for the priorities that matter most to people in the community.
That’s why @Elliot4Heritage is running to be the next MP in this important by-election.

Being a leader means standing up.
Being a leader means calling out hateful language - not taking pictures to help advertise it.
They should be ashamed. They should apologize.

The strike is over.
The BCMEA and the ILWU have accepted the Terms of Settlement from federal mediators. The parties have reached a tentative agreement.
Statement from Minister Alghabra & me:
