I work in the oil and gas industry worldwide onshore and offshore. I am based out of Houston, Texas but I live in Venezuela. In the oil and gas industry we are trained in emergency response and rescue operations. I have experience with the logistics and transportation also.

We are trying to bring awareness as there is a lot of people that don’t know what happened and or don’t know what to do to help. We are spreading this message recommending to everyone.

How to Donate and Help:

Financial Aid: Donate directly to globally recognized disaster relief agencies so they can purchase exact necessities in bulk . Support recovery operations through your local agencies such as Red Cross or UNICEF as these are two of the agencies that are helping out in this time of need that our Venezuelan brethren is going through.
These agencies worldwide are doing everything possible to help and support in this monumental task.

Besides this we have started a gofundme campaign to support a pharmacy in our community in Maturin, Monagas Venezuela called FarmaPaz you can find them on instagram, they are using their locations as a collection center where we are donating supplies needed for people affected in this disaster. They will eat the cost of the logistics and transportation of everything donated and they will get everything to the communities that are affected.

List of supplies we are sourcing to be funded by our gofundme campaign;

For Rescue Operations:

Protective Equipment: Helmets, heavy-duty work gloves, dust masks, and sturdy work or rain boots.

Utility Tools: Flashlights, lanterns, extra batteries, multi-purpose tools, plastic buckets, shovels, and rakes.

Medical Supplies: Gauze, antibacterial swabs, tourniquets, and basic painkillers.

For Victims and Shelters Basic Sustenance: Bottled water (target one gallon per person daily) , energy bars, canned goods, and manual can openers.

Infant & Child Care: Baby formula , diapers, rash cream, children's books, and toys to ease trauma.

Shelter & Warmth: Heavy-duty plastic tarps, ropes, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, and new, packaged underwear and socks.

Personal Hygiene: Soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, sanitary napkins, and toilet paper.

Cleanup Supplies: Disinfectants, bleach, heavy-duty garbage bags, and brooms.
