@chris_neto Absolutely should be building succession plans! People leave for a multitude of reasons, and the org must be able to continue on effectively. That also means knowledge transfer must be ingrained into mentoring and leadership duties within regular daily practices. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto Documentation must be a core aspect of operational practices as a non-negotiable. The smaller the org, the more likely it is to revolve around an individual person who stores head knowledge. Must think enterprise effectiveness no matter the org size. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto I'm amazed at the # of orgs that don't have an established documentation process. Seems to happen when they rely on "the guy (or gal)" rather than thinking enterprise-first. Documentation is about organizational effectiveness, not just some person writing down stuff. #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto While yes, there are often hard deadlines that must be met (like start of classes), every aspect needs to take the proper time it needs to do it right. Each area can hit bumps in the road. Nothing is a loss of time if it's focused on delivering the best outcome. #AVinTheAM
