Rod Liddle’s death is a terrible blow to our public life. He was the finest, funniest chronicler of the absurdities of the 21st century. He scoffed superbly at the smug elites and their lunatic beliefs. We won’t see his like again, says Brendan O’Neill
It is baffling that we still haven’t had an update on Ann Widdecombe’s murder or know more about the motive. What on earth is going on?
It’s been 28 days now.
‘These mothers don’t want their daughters to raped or molested!’
Conservative MP Joy Morrisey reacts to the government failing to cancel plans to build a migration detention centre in Piddington, as local residents continue to express their outrage.
Government by TikTok video will always run out of steam. The British people want immigration sorted, defence of the realm funded and lower taxes. Andy Burnham has no plan for any of these.
Conservative MP Joy Morrisey reacts as a new poll sees Reform UK regain its lead over Labour by a narrow one per cent, pointing to Andy Burnham's lack of plan.

While I am sad that Joshua feels he won't be given the space to explain his position and represent his community, I am glad he is going to work with me and the party on tackling radicalisation as part of our Culture and Integration commission.
If we are going to stop extremism and antisemitism we are going to need help from those people who were part of the problem, but have now changed and are being part of the solution. Piling on them and trying to get them cancelled may be sport for other parties, but this is a different Conservative Party.
Sometimes there will be difficult judgement calls, but right now I know that we are the only party actively working to unite the country rather than one particular faction or other.
New guidance on single-sex spaces comes into force.
"Trans-rights campaigners have called the guidance unworkable."
Unworkable? The law that's existed for decades, that's worked for decades & everyone has clearly understood and obeyed for decades? 🤔 https://t.co/5gFXPioegk
Heartsick at the death of Rod Liddle - an outrageously funny and gifted writer with a beautiful conversational style. He had a unique talent for finding the thing that was obviously true but supposedly unsayable and then saying it with such panache as to give the maximum possible offence - and to all the right people. Spectator readers absolutely loved him.
Just heartbreaking to hear the news about Rod Liddle.
I don’t have the words to express how sad this is. For journalism, for his readers and most of all his friends and family. Had missed his column and hearing his voice on the radio. Thought he was on a break.
Rest in peace, Rod. You will be very much missed.
Labour refuse to say how many domestic abusers they are letting out of prison early.
So we crunched the numbers ourselves.
It adds up to over 9,300 abusers back on the streets by 2029.
As the Domestic Abuse Commissioner said, this is putting victims lives at risk.
Huge congratulations to David Drever on winning the Marlow Town Council by-election, gaining the seat from the Liberal Democrats.
David will be a fantastic Town Councillor, and I look forward to working with him to ensure Marlow continues to thrive.
Today Conservatives voted to stop rapists, paedophiles and child groomers being released from prison early.
Reform, Lib Dems, and nearly all Labour MPs couldn’t be bothered to vote.
While Farage threw a hissy fit, Conservatives were protecting women and girls.
Ministers must do everything in their power to deport the Pakistan-born ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, Baroness Casey of Blackstock has demanded.
The removal of Shabir Ahmed, who was released last week after serving 14 years of a 22-year sentence for 30 child rape offences, needed to stand by the victims of ‘heinous crimes’ 👇

‘There should be severe consequences for coming here and breaking the law, you should be deported.’
Conservative MP Joy Morrissey criticises other political parties for not doing more for grooming gang victims, including voting on stopping the early release of serious criminals.
Labour’s planned early release scheme will see thousands of dangerous criminals released onto our streets.
We voted in the Commons to stop it.
Labour and Reform didn’t even bother to turn up and vote.
