My new book is out on amazon! Check out "The Isekai Handbook", a fantasy story about a man who ends up in a fantasy world with a unique power...and finds that he's not the first one!

Finished reading "Stasi: The Untold Story Of The East German Secret Police" and I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it! A while back I'd read a book about MI5 that sort of soured me on the history of espionage, but this book was fascinating!
It's amazing how much of our modern world was visible in the mid-20th century, how little things have changed in a lot of ways. And scary just how good the East German spy machine was!
I for the life of me cannot understand why, when amazon emails me saying they have "Book recommendations for you" it's always some combination of:
1) Romance book with a cartoony cover
2) Book 6 of 15 of a series I haven't seen before
3) Something called "Big Witch Energy"
I know that they know the books I'd like to read, because the website itself it's pretty good at making recommendations, but for some reason their email process feels like it was designed as a practical joke.
Just take the same process you use on the website and put it in email!
I don't meant to put too much of a point on this, but I use my kindle a _lot_ and my KU subscription almost as much. Amazon must have a pretty clear idea of what it is I like to read. So why can't they send me recommendations that I can actually do something with?
@SWHannahAuthor Not sure if this counts, but I try to consolidate characters: why have two, half-explored character if one, really well explored one will serve the role?
Okay! Just finished "The Nexus Challenge" by @GameOverStation. This one is by far my favorite book in the series so far. I didn't know "Demented Banjo Kazooie Game" was something I needed, but apparently it is!
Obviously everyone knows this book is good, but if for some reason you were looking for a sign to do it now, consider this your sign!

Okay, at the urging of my father, my wife, and indirectly much of the internet, I've _finally_ read "Project Hail Mary". No surprises here, of course I loved it!
I saw the movie first, and I was surprised by how good a job Andy Weir does with character writing. Everyone in this book feels like a character with opinions and things they like. Even characters who show up for only one scene
The outline for my next book is complete and I'm about to break ground on the messy first draft. I have my mood playlist set, the character sheets drawn up (iykyk) and the cover artist has been briefed.
Her Mother, The Wind - Book 3 of the Blind Age, coming soon(ISH)
