@matteocollina@lemire A manager role is much harder than an individual contributor role. Weak managers have weak team performance. Not obvious that getting to that level of responsibility implies that one can coast.
An ironic part of using Twitter less is that I have more cogent insights. And for some reason I feel that tweeting them is appropriate. So using Twitter less as aconsumer gives me headspace to use it more as a creator.

The institutions are moving to the Internet. The US regulators can't keep up. Code will regulate.
When I was younger I looked forward to new media. Movies, video games, books, tv shows etc.
Now I don't. I can't tell if it is due to saturation, more media than I can possibly consume and less time to consume it. Or if the culture is less dynamic.
@retirementkeys As long as you do better next time this is good. It's not good to have total mastery over a problem set, it suggests stagnation. Agree that forgiving of minute faults is wise, knowing you will try again tomorrow.
@attentionmech The slow way is to slowly master your domain until it becomes play. Also drink coffee in the morning and work on the most important tasks. Drinking coffee makes me want to do things and I just enter hyper execution mode.
