Anyway I’m working on what I think will be a pretty good African fantasy comic, inspired by west African cultures, mainly Peul/Fulah and Senegal/Sahel as a whole. watch this space if youd like that. Here’s the cast of the first chapter

Like I have said before, if you've read the book you'd know that the target audience for this IP is not West Africans but African-Americans and Africans in diaspora.
If you want fiction that extensively explores Yoruba mythology, check out:
Blood Scion by Deborah Falaye
Shigidi and the Brass Head of Obalufon by Wole Talabi
The black God's drums by P. Deli Clark
Sanya by Oyin Olugbile
Ayanmo by Ponle Oluwole
Have reached spoiler-full parts of the book, so until I’m out, i Can’t post more sketches. So instead, have a demon from a thing that’s not been unveiled yet
Handsomest boy in the whole book. Should be done sketching this first story by the end of next week. I will then either start sketching the next one, or ink these pages. All while starting on my most interesting cover work yet
@juni_ba would you be interested on doing the art for this years Absolute Batman Annual? Your style would be an incredible fit for the absolute universe @Ssnyder1835
Sketching pages some more. For this story I’m trying to harness some of the energy from vintage pictures from Malian photographer Seydou Keita. People in those pics really loved their rides!
2 days and 150 reference pictures (Google street view and Senegalese soap operas) later, I finished the sketch of this spread. Moving to the next page. inking Is for later.

Only disappointment in not going to the Eisner is I won’t get to meet Phil LaMarr. Samurai Jack did so much to make me the artist I am. And that’s only one of his roles.
