@chriman_ It’s so strange to me that they still use on air/cone drills in combines. Coaches in college and the NBA almost never use drills like that in their practices.
Hard hedging ball screen defenses are going to be vulnerable to this “rocket” action
Advance the ball quickly and look down… It’s a long recovery
Elevator screens are perfect for misdirections, often occupying 3 help defenders
Punish The Zone With This Zone Offense Set
Coach Mike Hilmer goes over “Iowa” from The Relentless Pressure System. @HilmerMike
This offense exploits the zone, and gets the defense to shift, allowing an open shot on the backside.
This set also sets your offense up for great rebounding opportunities as well.
The best time to attack is off of a closeout.
If you read an out of control closeout you should get split on the catch to eliminate a step post-catch.
If you split too early the defense can adjust.
Split right as the ball drops the 2nd time to work on your timing.

The Zoom action creates large gaps for the dribble drive and creates indecision for the defense, which are keys to a successful offense.
The Zoom Action has become very popular in the NBA and college levels, but it's easy to teach and use at even the Youth level.
Basketball Teams such as Northern Iowa and Loyola Chicago run motion offense centered around this specific action.

SSG: 4v4 Help & Rotate / X Out
(presented by @PracticeLive)
Set up advantage for the ball-handler (i.e., defender on hip). When defender is beat, help and rotate.
Drill Library | 'Closeout Shooting'
Something to add to practice that combines closeout technique with finishing and shooting. Make sure to split the team in half and use multiple hoops. #CoachesCorner
