What’s a polite way to tell someone, “I’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?
To all my Musicians (but also applies to content creators, entrepreneurs, etc)…
Things get much more interesting and fun when you figure out something that WORKS.
But before that happens, you’ll be stuck in trial-and-error PURGATORY for a long time, feeling discouraged, confused and probably wanting to quit.
If you make it past that stage, your chances of success go way up.
Really what’s yall point? If the music works it works. The industry is full of lies and anybody knee deep in it a store front mannequin. Don’t hustle to be a prostitute for the media. Make shit that means something. No more trends.
Some of y’all are thinking about quitting music at 30 because u think u missed your window…
Meanwhile, Artists are just now getting their spotlight in their 30s and 40s, and songs recorded decades ago are finding literally millions of new fans TODAY thanks to TikTok and social media.

All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Darren Seals helped organize the movement pictured in the 1st image and was later found shot inside his car, covered in flames. We resist KNOWING what's on the other side of it. Mfs too forgetful.
I love that this is the common place within industry now but it is so hard to accept because by the time ppl are 30, they’ve been in this industry for YEARS 10-15 years already and have been beat down by it.. I guess cream rises to the top, but I know too many ppl who hit this threshold in life & the twinkle in their eye about it is gone
